Chapter 89: Funnier Then Hitting Your Funny Bone

Hey Guys;

I just wanted to post some jokes that I labled 'Funnier Then Hitting Your Funny Bone'...

Enjoy:

TITLE: TO MY LOVING WIFE
A couple from Minneapolis decided to go to Florida for a long weekend to thaw out during one particularly icy winter. Because both had jobs, they had difficulty coordinating their travel schedules. It was decided that the husband would fly to Florida on a Thursday, and his wife would follow him the next day. Upon arriving as planned, the husband checked into the hotel. There he decided to open his laptop and send his wife an e-mail back in Minneapolis. However, he accidentally left off one letter in her address, and sent the e-mail without realizing his error.

In Houston, a widow had just returned from her husband's funeral. He was a minister of many years who had been 'called home to glory' following a heart attack. The widow checked her e-mail, expecting messages from relatives and friends. Upon reading the first message, she fainted and fell to the floor. The widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and saw the computer screen which read:

To: My Loving Wife
From: Your Departed Husband
Subject: I've Arrived!
I've just arrived and have checked in. I see that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you then! Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was.
(P.S. Sure is hot down here!)

TITLE: WHERE IS GOD?
A couple had two little boys, ages 8 and 10, who were excessively mischievous. They were always getting into trouble and their parents knew that, if any mischief occurred in their town, their sons were probably involved.

They boys' mother heard that a clergyman in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys. The clergyman agreed, but asked to see them individually. So the mother sent her 8-year-old first, in the morning, with the older boy to see the clergyman in the afternoon.

The clergyman, a huge man with a booming voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly, "Where is God?".

They boy's mouth dropped open, but he made no response, sitting there with his mouth hanging open, wide-eyed. So the clergyman repeated the question in an even sterner tone, "Where is God!!?" Again the boy made no attempt to answer. So the clergyman raised his voice even more and shook his finger in the boy's face and bellowed, "WHERE IS GOD!?"
The boy screamed and bolted from the room, ran directly home and dove into his closet, slamming the door behind him. When his older brother found him in the closet, he asked, "What happened?"

The younger brother, gasping for breath, replied, "We are in BIG trouble this time, dude. God is missing - and they think WE did it!"

TITLE: A Bucket Of Nuts
On the outskirts of town, there was a huge nut tree by the cemetery fence. One day two boys filled up a bucket with nuts and sat down by the tree, out of sight, and began dividing the nuts.
"One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me," said one boy. The bucket was so full, several rolled out toward the fence.

Cycling down the road by the cemetery was a third boy. As he passed, he thought he heard voices from inside the cemetery. He slowed down to investigate. Sure enough, he heard, "One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me."

He knew what it was. "Oh my," he shuddered. "It's Satan and St. Peter dividing the souls at the cemetery."
He cycled down the road as fast as he could and found an old man hobbling along with a cane. "Come here quick," said the boy. "You won't believe what I heard. Satan and St. Peter are down at the cemetery dividing the souls."

The man said, "Shoo, you brat, can't you see I'm finding it hard to walk as it is." But after several pleas, the man hobbled to the cemetery.

Standing by the fence, they heard, "One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me."
The old man whispered, "Boy, you've been telling the truth. Let's find out if we can see the devil himself." Shivering with fear, they peered through the fence, but they were still unable to see anything. The old man and the boy gripped the wrought-iron bars of the fence tighter and tighter as they tried to get a glimpse of Satan.

At last they heard, "One for you, one for me. And one last one for you. That's all. Now let's go get those nuts by the fence, and we'll be done."

They say the old guy made it back to town five minutes before the boy.
I laughed pretty hard at the first two.. the third, I heard before! :)

Chapter 88: Steffi D, Planes, Peace?

Hey;

It's me again- I could have just posted this in the other blog but I was like.. umm 'an extra blog chapter'- that was good enough for me. I am bound to reach my 99th blog by the time I leave.. which might I add is in a little more then two weeks. -yey!

Anyways... yeah- the title: Steffi D - SO far she's in the top 6 on Canadian Idol... she's a deadly performer and seems to be an amazing person (but hey, it could be just a front right?-lets not be naive here)... but yeah- my favorite performance HAS to be 'It's My Life' - she KICKED IT! Literally.. she kicked the stool off the stage.. haha! She's 'so exciting' - just like Jake Gold says! :) She offers something new each week and to me.. that's what the 'Canadian Idol' should be.. someone who is different from the rest, someone exciting and someone who offers something NEW! THAT my friend is STEFFI D! :) (PS.. VOTE FOR STEFFI-lol)

Here's Steffi:

Planes- despite the fact that I am getting on a one to fly out in again, little over two weeks- and all this happenings now.. I'm still not scared nor nervous. I have trust in the security measures they are putting in place and if it DO go down... I'll send my best wishes via this blog! :) GO BUSH!

Peace- the war in Israel is growing.. even though the UN has signed the Peace thingy... *cough, rapture is soon, cough* - it's only the matter of time until things die down, Jesus comes back and then things gets REALLY nasty! - I know I'll be outta here so.. best of luck to ya all! :)

?

Peace People

Chapter 87: God Water - Crazy?

Hey;

okay- look at this:

(if you can't read that there- click here)

Okay, lets very quickly look back at the history of 'water coming from things' - in a Godly sense... We know that Moses got water from a rock after he hit it with his staff - this took place in Exodus... Umm.. anything else?

SO--- is this poor woman gone crazy or are we just overlooking things God puts around us?

I'll let you think about that one.

Chapter 86: Holding It Back Long Enough

Hey;

Okay. I’m going to be super blunt in this blog and it’s gonna be entirely about Canadian Idol Season 4.

Rob James SHOULD NEVER be allowed ON the show. My opinion is that he shouldn’t have been even allowed to try out. He was a signed artist who failed. NOW he’s trying to make a come back- you’d think he’d step aside gracefully.. He had his chance and blew it... so get off the stage!

Tyler Lewis: I wasn’t a fan until last night. WOW! He guy reminds me of Rex Goudie in so many ways it’s freaky BUT personally, in my opinion- he can sing just a little bit better. Now I’m not saying Rex can’t sing, just in my taste, Tyler would have beat him. Top 5 material for sure!

Eva: The judges keep praising her up and I keep putting her down. We already have a Melissa O’Neil. She should be in the top 4 sure, but any further it would be a shame on Canada.

Chad: Can you say WINNER! Despite his weak performance last week, he still should win. Deadly singing, seems to have the personality for it... can he pull off the win? HE SHOULD CANADA!

Ashley Coulter: I was a fan when she audition but now she seems to try hard for a Suzi Rawn sort of thing. Based on ‘Knocking on Heavens Door’ she’s outta my book as a favorite... she should go this week.

Craig: This is what Newfoundland is offering as talent this year- to ALL of Canada..... and to be honest, I’m proud that we are. This kid has pipes man! NO DOUBT one of the best vocalist they EVER had on the show (and I watch every one)! This kid might not win but he’ll go far without a doubt... if Sony won’t sign him.. I will! Wait, I don’t have a record company (which is a life long goal for me)... but if I did, smart move would be to sign Craig.

Steffi D: SO AMAZING! WOW! SUPER! WONDERFUL! EXCITING! Steffi is everything a Canadian Idol should be! However, Canada sucks at voting and actually (I’ll even go as bold and say) they WON’T accept Steffi’s ‘through the roof’ talent! THIS GIRL KISS BUTT PRETTY BAD! SHE MAKES THE REST OF THEM ‘idols’ SEEM ALMOST... KARAOKE!

THERE! MY TRUTH ABOUT YOUR TOP 7!

Chapter 85: A New Low

Hey Guys;

Just gonna make this quite, and let you all know about a new low that happened here. Saturday night (late in the night so really it was Sunday morning) some idiots went into the graveyard here in town and kicked over 22 headstones. Sunday morning, a berry picker saw the happenings and reported it to the RCMP. They came over, took pictures- that's it. Now the have released a press release (Rudy thinks it much be a 'big case') and it should be. You see this stuff happen in larger places but never in the 'small' place- but is this what this town is coming to? SICK! These people should be caught and charged with everything they could be charged with. If they're underage, well- they'll get a slap on the wrist and be sent on their way... and they tell me there is nothing wrong with the justice system? I laugh!

Well, it's no doubt a new low for this town. I am honestly disappointed that such a thing would happen here. It was pretty hard for some of the 'older' folks here yesterday as well, as they look at what was done to their parents gravesites and their husbands, wives and other family. Many people cried with broken hearts and some more expressed their anger, and I don't blame them.

On a side note, I would like to ask that ANYONE who knows ANYTHING about this.. report it to the RCMP. If you don't want to 'get involved' as such, tell someone - like a parent or another friend- anyone who would bring it forth. Tell me if you have to, I don't have no trouble in reporting things that's for sure. Anyways.. keep an ear open and with that said...

Peace Out

Season Four- Rob James

*There were 11 contestants in the first season, had to use one spot again-see 8th place*

Ta Da! It’s done. I would comment on them all but I won’t even dare... haha! But yeah- that is my stand on the Canadian Idol Top 10's... Some of them were easy to place and some more were harder then hard. I didn’t really want to put Casey in the bottom-(10th) BUT out of all last season, I just had to. I would switch Kati and Rob for season four BUT I don’t even think Rob should be in the top 10. I didn’t want to put Aaron in 8th place either but hey...
Anyways, again- that is my stand.

Peace
Prayers

Chapter 83: Change Is Gonna Come

Hello to one and all;

As you know, my time in Newfoundland is drawing closer and closer -shame eh? (haha) This evening passed by pretty quickly, thanks to the help of my tv set. I never done to much all day to be exact - fiddled around on my laptop for a bit, was online already for a few times... everything seems to be dead on that - I really want some new cool sites to go on, but nothing is out there... or at least I can’t find anything. But yeah... I also watch a movie- yes... it was a ‘chick flick’ - haha! Real masculine eh? ‘Riding In Cars With Boys’ was the name of it... yet it has nothing to do with a car, nor do it have anything to do with ‘boys’... it’s basically about this young girl with big dreams for her life. She ends up going to a party, meeting this ‘low life’ guy... and then a few weeks later, she finds out she’s pregnant for him. The story jumps from really early years (about 1930's maybe) then up to the 1960's or around there. It pretty much shows her life growing up, how she had the kid, how hard life was. Her husband (the low life guy) turns out a drug addict and leaves her with a 10 year old kid. She works hard ALL of her life, time and time again... something ‘good’ would happen but it would mess up and she would loose it (ex: an interview from a scholarship to NYU BUT her husband forgets about it and she had to bring the kid to the interview, and they didn’t like that fact and she ends up with no scholarship). She is an amazing writer... but she can never succeed and she learns to accept it. Finally, she works with a newspaper and works hard to write a memoir about herself entitled ‘Riding In Cars With Boys’- and she needs her ex husbands signature to publish it (since he’s in it) and then yada-yada-yada.. I’ll leave it at that.. But yeah, it’s good to say the least. Despite the few cusses and the fact that her husband was a drunk and a dope addict - PLUS the fact she was busted for drying ‘weed in her oven’ for her neighbour....

Anyways, yeah.. Again, it was good to say the least. :)

I really should get going- but before I go, I’m gonna tie in my chapter title: ‘Change Is Gonna Come’.. I know it’s a song, btu have no clue who sings it, what song it is, or what it is about. I just remember that little part- Taylor Hicks may have sung it on American Idol this year.. lol. But yeah... after the movie - I done up a list of things I have to take with me at the end of this month.. Lots! Then I got to thinking... ‘Change IS Going To Come’! FOR REAL! I have been thinking that ‘yeah, I’m moving soon’ but now it’s hitting home (and I’m happy for sure) and I’m like ‘CHANGE IS GONNA COME’! I’m moving... leaving... hopefully for good! :)
But yeah.. I’ll post more about it eventually... I’m still trying to get to post #99 before I go cause my plan is to be #100 when I hit Edmonton... :)

But I really don’t think I’ll make the cut! :)
We’ll see...

Peace
Prayers

Joshua

PS... A Spoiler for the BB7 fans.. James and Jainee are put up for eviction this week... AFTER Danielle won HOH!
