Chapter 29: Monday Morning.... Waiting For School

Hey Everyone;

It’s early Monday morning and I’m up and ready for school. I haven’t been there in almost a full week… yup – sick! :( Can’t help it b’y. ha! Oh well…. It was horrible for the fact I was sick but it certainly aided in my stress level :) Which is a good thing. I wish I could have at lease ONE more day off and NOT be sick. And that would be tomorrow. Ha! The school is going skiing at Marble tomorrow and I am not going. Why?

#1. I’m sick
#2. I’m poor! Ha! I just ordered my suit for the grad and it’s about 150 plus I have to buy shoes, gifts, etc.
So yeah… I’m poor! Ha! Oh well, I wouldn’t really go anyways, I can’t ski. And what’s the fun in skiing when you CAN’T ski.. ha! And yes, I have tried many times… ha! I always get hurt, or fall of ledges. Bahaha!

Anyways, I can’t wait to get to school now. Mostly to see everyone! Ha! Especially Candace – lol – yup! I missed her. Ha! I didn’t actually miss her, I missed bugging her! Ha! Oh well… it’s all the same I guess! Ha!
Anyways, This is only short, but I’ll try and blog more in school!

Peace

Chapter 28: BREAKING NEWS

BREAKING NEWS

Case against Afghan Christian convert dismissed

CTV.ca News
The case against a man who converted from Islam to Christianity was dismissed by an Afghan court on Sunday because of a lack of evidence.
"The court dismissed today the case against Abdul Rahman for a lack of information and a lot of legal gaps in the case," an official told The Associated Press.
The official said Rahman, who potentially faced the death penalty, would likely be released soon.
"The decision about his release will be taken possibly tomorrow," he said.
Abdul Wakil Omeri, a spokesman for the Supreme Court, told the AP the case was dismissed because of "problems with the prosecutors' evidence."
Omeri said several of Rahman's family members have testified the man mental problems.
"It is the job of the attorney general's office to decide if he is mentally fit to stand trial," he told AP.
Rahman was being prosecuted under Afghanistan's Islamic laws for converting 16 years ago while working as a medical aid worker for an international Christian group that helped Afghan refugees in Pakistan.
Western countries -- who have troops serving in Afghanistan and who provide crucial foreign aid to the impoverished country -- had been pressuring the court and Afghan President Hamid Karzai to release Rahman.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper phoned Karzai Wednesday to express his concerns about 40-year-old.
Some Islamic clerics, meanwhile, had called for him to be put to death, saying Rahman would face danger from his countrymen if he were released.
Earlier Sunday Rahman had been moved to a notorious prison that is filled with hundreds of Islamic militants.
Rahman had been held at a packed police holding centre in central Kabul while his trial progressed, but was moved to the maximum security prison outside Kabul after his life was threatened by other inmates, a court official told The Associated Press.
Policharki Prison, where Rahman has been moved, is home to hundreds of Taliban and al Qaeda militants.
Rahman has reportedly been begging his guards to provide him with a Bible.

Chapter 27: Sick & Sixpence

Hey Everyone;

Guess what? – I’m still sick. I haven’t blogged in a few days due to the fact I have been really sick with the flu. I had to cancel my meeting with PR, I missed school, missed all the United Church special services, missed CA’s, CAP and church again today. I haven’t had the flu as bad as I do now since like, never. I had a sinus infection last year and it was bad but this flu is just so lengthy and it’s taking the life right out of me. If you already know me – I HATE WINTER – and this is one of the many reasons why. Stupid winter.. ha! Thank God it’s over now and the Spring season should kick in at any time now. It already has actually, mild temperatures, melting snow, mud <_<
Oh well… I rather see mud then snow! Ha! I pumped myself full of Advil (Sold and Sinus) and I’m surprised how well it worked. I never thought a simple little drug like that would be so effective but hey, I no longer have to sniff every two seconds. Man, now that I think of it I haven’t put my head under my pillows to block out the horrible light (only horrible when you have an headache-lol) – so yeah, it’s all good. Congrats Advil, my hero! J/K – I really hated to take them actually. If you know me the slightest I’m not at all for manmade drugs. Either get some herbal substance or tough it out. Thanks to Sarah’s strong talks about manmade drugs I am like I am. (Her mom’s a nurse… ha)
Well, enough about ME! What about you? How have you all been? Good? Bad? Bored? Stressed? Excited? Overwhelmed? What? WHAT IS IT? TELL ME!! NOW! <_< - See the strange effects the pills have on me… lol. Oh my, it’s not the drugs, that’s just the plain ol’ me. Ha! Or is it… :looks suspiciously side to side:
Anyways… I’ve been really digging the “Sixpence None the Richer” CD’s. Ha! Shameful on Requel, she didn’t even know they were broken up! Bahaha! Oh well… if it wasn’t for Scott and Heather talking about them I might have never known as well. I haven’t really researched them :thinks… do they have a website or any online site about them… Mmmmm: I think I’ll check into that. :D Anyways, their vocal ability really appeals to me. The raspy, cool, calm yet sortta “rocky” (in some spots) sound of their voice makes them amazing and stand out. Not many bands have all of those qualities cramped into one group, so I think they’re worthy of my precious blog space. Ha!
Well, yeah – I am feeling a lil’ sick again now so I must run…. I’ll post again after lunch! Peace all!

Chapter 26: Random

Hey, Just popped in to show you all some of the weird and funny headlines that I found on news sites here today… some are quite interesting:

KOLKATA, India (Reuters) - A giant aldabra tortoise thought to be around 250 years old has died in the Kolkata zoo of liver failure, Indian authorities said on Thursday

I remember this seeing this turtle on Ripley’s~ RIP lil’ dude!

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Reebok International is recalling about 300,000 promotional bracelets after a child reportedly died of lead poisoning after swallowing one, U.S. officials said on Thursday.

Umm… where were the parents too? Come on – Letting a child play with a bracelet – senseless.

MOSCOW (Reuters) - A Russian woman fell 35 metres (114 ft) from the eleventh floor of her apartment building and survived, Russia's Channel One television reported Tuesday.

Talk about the grace of God – hope she learned a valuable life lesson.

WASHINGTON - Commuters racing to catch the train typically forget things in the car — keys, wallets, briefcases. But a baby daughter? That's what happened Thursday just north of Washington, police say.

Mmm… I heard of forgetting things but YOUR KID – COME ON!!

WASHINGTON - The Earth is already shaking beneath melting ice as rising temperatures threaten to shrink polar glaciers and raise sea levels around the world.

Harvo is RIGHT! We’re all gonna die! Ha!

Australia Yahoo:
Today’s Poll Question:     Do you think Canada should scrap its annual seal hunt?
                    Yes = 129

Chapter 25: Change the Unchangeable? I Think Not!

Hey Everyone;

I was planning on blogging at sometime today and to be honest I was going to do it around 3. I never had anything overly exciting to blog about except the fact I’m sick and stayed home from school today. I was sitting in the rocking chair at the end on the hallway and dad was out in the living room watching the news. I was focused in on the talking that was going on and tried to make the voices with pictures of people in my head (yeah I know… I was bored okay –lol). Anyways, what really caught my attention was the story of an Afghan aid worker. I really shut everything else out and listened really hard to this, cause I knew it was good to blog on. Anyways I’ll tell you briefly what the news report was about.
Like I already said, it was about an Afghan aid worker that was based in Afghanistan (go figure- lol) Anyways, the story goes on to tell that he was of the Muslim faith but recently he converted to the Christianity faith. He publicly announced his newfound faith and announced that he believes that Jesus is the only way to eternal salvation and that he believed in the Holy Spirit and other Christianity beliefs.
Due to the Afghan law, people who reject their religious (Muslim) belief for a new found faith must pay the penalty of death. (Harsh eh?) His family turned him into their government who convicted him of the crime and sentenced him to death.
Now the United States government is pleading with Afghanistan government to release this man and let their people take upon whatever religious belief they choose, suppose it is to be Muslim, Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc.
I found this story quite interesting, mostly do to the fact that now that I look at the war in Afghanistan and even the war in Iraq – which might I add I was in total favor for – being pointless. They went into the lands of Afghanistan to bring freedom to its people and now, after it seemed “good” at lease for a while it fell apart. I mean, if countries went into Afghanistan and fought until they created a somewhat stable government, etc. and to have it all backfire by the “newly” elected government sentence one of its residents to death because of a conversion – well that only makes the war one thing –pointless! As much as I hate to say it, it has to be true. I guess like the saying I have heard so many times before goes “you can’t bring freedom to a place that doesn’t want it”.
I’m not looking at only the Afghan war but the war in Iraq. Will the same thing take place? Will the United States be turned into a mockery? Thinking so boldly that they could bring a change to the unchangeable? After this story – I now think YES, Yes they will!
As you can clearly see by this story that what they done, the freedom they fought for, was no more meaningful to the people of Afghanistan then the next thing that someone tried to do for them.
I personally should have known better as well, not only the US. It is biblical prophecy that there shall not be peace in the Middle East.
I have done a small amount of research on this topic (peace in the Middle East) and this is what I came up with, so bare with me:

Mark 13: 6-8
     Jesus tells us to not be afraid of war and rumors of war because these things must happen, but the end is still to come. If Jesus tells us not to be afraid because these things MUST happen, (not maybe, MUST) then He must have known there would be no peace. The verse says, “Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom” – that sounds handy well right for the Middle East don’t you think?

You know, its kind of hard to study this topic and write about it seconds later. I think I might just break this into a couple different posts, anyone else think it would be a good idea? I do. Even if you don’t, I am now. Ha!

Well, I hope and pray that I would get a good topic on the go here. Hopefully I myself will learn greatly from this and even better if you would learn something as well. I’m going to look forward in hearing some feedback on this. (Even if it’s only from Rudy, Charlotte and Rob) ha! Anyways, I’m going to take off now –

Peace
Prayers

Chapter 23: Sorry, AGAIN

Hello World;

Well, it has been about a week since I last blogged. I don’t know what’s wrong with me anymore actually, starting off I was at it full force, now I can barely find time to do anything I want, including blogging. I mean I spend time online doing work (email, school stuff, chat, etc.) but I can never come around to the fact of blogging. I’m going to get brand new colors, add a different slogan, anything to try and revive my blogging experience. It’s shameful that I’m not doing it more often.
Anyways, I am on my way out the door for school (or close enough to the door). It’s 8:00AM and school starts at 9! I have to catch the bus in like 20 odd minutes, so I have a small amount of time.
Anyways, how’s life? Mine has been great for the past week. FINALLY I GOT ACCEPTED TO VANGUARD COLLEGE! :D (I needs to update a lot now…lol) After almost TEN weeks, they let me know. It feels good to know I’m in now – all I have to worry about now is passing high school (which I’m sure I’ll do without any major problems). I need to worry about loans, but that won’t bother me until they come out… ha! Oh well…. Rudy says it’ll be the mid-last part of June… Mr. Chipp says Mid May! I like Chippers’ date better! Ha!
Anyways, I guess I should be going again. I promise to blog a lot more – I’ll blog later today if all possible. Then I will enforce the new color scheme and slogan and all.

Peace

Chapter 21: The Long Wait

Well Hello,
It is now roughly 3PM – and here I am, posting, just like I said I would. Ha! Well, this could get a lil’ long and I will apologize in advance for it, but hey, like it said in the ummm…bible…  “ye cried out for posting so ye shall get stuck with long posting” – Now your asking just where in the bible does it say that… well I think it’s towards the back somewhere, go look for it. :) Okay, I’ll admit, it’s not in the bible and I’m pretty sure most of you knew that. :) Anyways, here goes:

So, how has everyone been? Good I am hoping and assuming. I have yet to hear of any tragedies so I’ll think you’re all fine. Anyways, as long as we’re all alive, we’re good – right? Like the new slogan I’ve picked up “I’m alive, so no complaints”. :) Amen for that one.
Well, now that I know you’re all good, and have been good for the past month, I’ll post about my “exciting” life – just to let you all know what’s been keeping me so busy.
Well, first off – I’ve been flat out at school work. No joke. I’m sick of it actually, I’m soon just gonna say “crap it” and not even do any. Well, I can’t do that, but I often feel like it. It seems that the teachers pile work on students all one time, (ex. I had a World exam, major assignment, math test, plus other little things to do for school) With all that, I had things to do for the grad, the student council, bible study, prayer meeting, CAP, newspaper – so that’s a fair bit of work. Especially when you have a deadline for it all to be done. I managed to pull it off, but had to take a Friday off of school just to “distress” myself. It was fun though. That sounds weird, but it was. I always have to have something to do or I become bored. And when I become bored, that’s not good. lol- Eh Charlotte. Ha! Let’s not go there… ha!
Anyways, yeah – it was mostly school work that kept me away, but there was something else as well. For the longest time, my laptop had a serious case of spyware. I had done literally dozens of searches, destroys – immunes, all of it, and it still wouldn’t leave me alone. It was THE worst time in all of my computer history. I ended up calling like three different people and asking their advise, I had two people to look at my computer and they couldn’t even do anything and then I had to call a person who REALLY knew what they were doing – and they told me a few things but it all boiled down to doing a “system restore” on my computer. It totally sucked cause I lost a few things, but despite that, IT WORKED!  That took a number of days to get fixed, and since that I don’t use my laptop a whole lot for online stuff, other then email. Ha! So! There’s another reason.
Well, It was my birthday a few days ago (on the 27th of February) – I normally don’t overly celebrate my birthday other then have the “family” in for a meal, open a few gifts and cut a cake. Wow! For me, it’s just another day. Who cares I’d say. lol- Next year, if I’m in Vanguard I probably won’t even bother to celebrate it. It’s pointless – why do people make such a big deal over it anyways. Now that I think of it, it’s rather dumb. Children on their birthdays want to be “older” like, “ohh, I can’t wait til I’m 30” , then when a person who’s 29 turns 30 they nearly faints off… :rollseyes: (I really wish they had smilies on Blogger, maybe I should suggest it to them). You only have ONE birthday, the day that you were born, all the other days just mark it, so it should be called a “birthday celebration”… but I guess that’s to long for people to say that, considering today is mostly a “rush, rush” thing. “In and out as fast as you can”… Mmm, I wish people would simply slow down. Oh well, I guess that would be a lil’ hypocritical of me to say, considering I am a “rush, rush” person – most of the times at lease.

Anyways, Yeah – So I’ve been extremely busy. – As you now, can tell.

In closing, I would like to make it VERY clear that WE HAVE WAY TO MUCH SNOW! It’s soon be spring and now we’re getting ALL SNOW! Almost daily, and might I add, it sucks! Ha! Well, I’m sure there’s a few that enjoy it!

Prayers Everyone
~Josh

Chapter 20: Sorry

Hey Everyone, I’m so sorry for abandoning you – my mine readers. This is just a reminder call, before my real BIG post, so check it out at around 3pm (NL time)… I’m working on it!
