Chapter 68: Gay Mounties Marries?

Hey;

Weird title name eh? Well, this is what it is coming too I guess, but that's the Yahoo side of it all. Two 'gay' RCMP officers are tying the knot on June 30th - the day before Canada celebrates its birthday. But yeah, it's quite sad that these two men are deciding that they'll join in 'marriage' and 'share their love' for eachother - *rolls eyes* -.

Okay, once again I'm gonna try not to 'bash' the 'gay community' and don't mean anything by them, I'm sure they are al wonderful people and all but my beef with their 'lifestyle' is a religious aspect. The term 'Marriage' is defined has 'a union between one man and one woman' - that's it - no Steve and Jimmy, Sally and Mary, Kim and Sue or Waldo and Kevin - it's ADAM AND EVE! MARY AND JOSEPH, SARAH AND ABRAHAM!!! GET THE PICTURE!

Chapter 67: The End of Potter?

Hey,

Everyone has heard of the 'hit' Harry Potter now haven't you? I KNOW YOU HAVE - for crying out loud, the people in Africa knows about Harry Potter. Anyways, the books, the movies, the action figures, keychains, posters, notebooks, costumes, pens and every other novelty item that they can come up with to 'bring in another buck' has all helped make Mr. Potter quite famous. You know, the little boy who was dropped off at his uncles doorstep and they treated him very poorly. He went to that school of magic (oh brother) and now he's like a world renowned FICTIONAL CHARACTER! BUT - is he really a well put piece of fiction? There's more to Harry Potter that meets the eye. I encourage you all to get a copy of Pastor John Hagee's sermon on Harry Potter and THEN talk about it.

Anyways, I'm not planning to head in that way right now, instead I'm quite delighted to announce that Mr. Potter MIGHT just die!

As you can clearly see, Ms. Rowling (creator and author of the 'famous' Potter series) has told reporters that TWO characters WILL DIE in the FINAL novel - set to be released in 2007.
Will it be Harry? Will it be Hermonie? Will it be that other feller?

I won't say who I think will die, but between me and the readers of this, it's ONE of these three and one of the 'bad' guys!

Chapter 66: Head Ache Vs. Canadian Idol

Bonjour;

Well, this is about the most simple 'Chapter title' I have ever posted. I have a headache and I'm attempting to watch Canadian Idol - and as you know, they REALLY don't mix. There is one good feller on there so far and amazingly enough, he's the dude from Newfoundland. He's actually the first person from Newfoundland that I actually liked since Jenny Gear. I don't know how well he'll do in the competiton but he is done pretty good. Another feller done really well tonight too - Brandon Jones. He auditioned in Newfoundland and done well. Overall I think he done better then Craig (the other Newfoundlander). And guess what, Zack was a lambface and said that he didn't do to great - go figure.

My head is still killing me and now it's time for me to leave - also, Rob James is up next on Idol - we I REALLY don't think he should be there, cough - washed up artist - cough,

Chapter 65: RudCast

Hey,

This entire chapter is going to be dedicated to good ol' Rud and the new idea he came up with.
Well, we all know what PODCast is right? (Thanks Rud for telling me..ha) Well Rud decided to make his own and came up with the cleaver name of 'RudCast' (I honestly like it.. :) - )
Anyways, his very first podcast is entitled 'Episode One: Deception'! Despite the darkness of the video and the poor quality photo editing job (nothing serious) - the rest of it was awesome. Way to go Rud!

Here is a snap from the cast:

Looking good there Rud! ha! But yeah, being your FIRST EVER RudCast, I'll grant you an 'JET Award' - I'll email you the award when it is finished!

But yeah, Other then that- I liked it!

Chapter 63: Saturday Nights' Alright

Hey One and All;

Man, what a boring night! There is nothing to do, no where to go and no one to talk to, via MSN or the phone. Oh well, no biggy. I watched a movie and ate pizza all by myself thankyou - I don't need people around to have fun. Nope, No Sir-e-bob, NOT ME, Not I, No, Nope, Nah..

I'm so alone!

Joking! Well, I am alone, and it sucks to be alone especially when I work all week, and barely have time for a social life... the one night I DO get to do something, noone wants to do stuff or they already have plans... go figure! oh well, life MUST go on.

Man, it's only 65 days till I take off! Can I get a 'Hollllllla' - YEAH! Edmonton here I come! :)

Oh my, everytime I see people now they are all like 'so, getting ready yet?' or 'packed yet' or 'when are you leaving?' 'man Josh, only another few weeks left eh?'... that makes me feel good! Now I don't know if they are all just wanting me to leave or if they are sad and ask in a concerned manner. Either way, it makes me feel good cause it reminds me that like here in rural Newfoundland is ALMOST over. Praise God! Like I told my employer - 'there are some things I'll miss, but small town life isn't for me'! Plain and simple... but just watch this now, God will send me up there and straight back 'home' (or another rural place)! I'll die! haha! Nah, I'm pretty sure of where I'll end up - as of now. :)

Anyways, yeah... I'm bored - still.

It's not even 10pm and I'm like ready just to go to bed.. not fit see... ha! Oh well, it's all good. Just another reason why I don't like rural areas... there is NOTHING TO DO!

Anywho's... I should write some more on my story but I'm like 'nah, not tonight'. Then I was like 'Josh, you should go for a walk'... 'nah' - sleep? -nah! I'll stick her out for another little bit and then I'll retire for this evening. Church tomorrow - WOOT! I never made it out last week so I'll be there tomorrow for sure! (if the Lord tarries)... :)

But yeah;

Keep the Faith;

Peace
Prayers

Chapter 62: America Got Talent?

America Got Talent- REALLY? WOW! I didn't not know that!

Friday night, 9:30 - CTV - watch it!

My Comments:

There were four guys on there who sung a song, and man - they were good!
'Syd the Kid' - A stand up 'comedian' - WOW! SHE WAS HORRIBLE! THAT GIRL WAS HORRIBLE... if it was MY KID, I'D SLAP THE JAWS RIGHT OFF OF HER! THE LITTLE BRAT!! and they let her through.. the judges DO NOT HAVE TALENT! Wasn't fit!

Anyways, I'm tired, this post was pointless - oh well!

Chapter 61: Hallelujah To The Lamb Of God

Hey Everyone;

I'm in a wicked awesome mood and it's 11:24 in the night! WOW! NOW THERE IS A FIRST!
It could be that I got some really good John Hagee sermons or it could be that there in ONLY 67 days til I pull out of this town - for good! :) I think both plays a major roll!

Well, like I said, there is only 67 days left til little ol' me packs up, pulls out and head to the airport to jump on the plane that will take me to my new home for the next few years*. Ain't that amazing. Tomorrow is THE LAST DAY OF HIGHSCHOOL EVER FOR ME! :) - and I don't think I'm even going.. haha! Work calls by, work calls.

I'm having some great fun at the CAP site by the way. It's quite fun, getting really use to more of a 'public' setting as such, even if it's roughly the 'same ol people' everytime. Nah, been having some new ones lately, never know - we might boom yet! ha! I hope so.

Well, I'm listening to Pastor John Hagee's sermon entitled 'Promise, Problem, Provision' and what a job he has done on these. I mean- WOW! This man stands on the word of God. One of my favorite quotes he said in these sets of sermons (yes, I watched them all before on TV) has to be

'Stop praying for a lighter cross, start praying for the strength to carry the cross'

It can really apply to my life and I'm sure it can to yours as well. So many times, especially when we enter into 'dark times' (trials, temptations, etc) we ALWAYS cry out to God 'OH GOD, PLEASE TAKE MY OUT OF THIS' and most times we never just say 'Oh God, give me the strength it takes to get me out of this'. I know I'm guilty of it to say the least. Alot of the times we just want a 'quick fix' but it's times like that that God molds us to be who He wants us to be.

Now THAT is worth saying 'Hallelujah To The Lamb Of God' for ain't it! :)

Well my friend, in closing I just want to say 'God is Good'. He's been there for me through thick and thin, He hasn't let go. Just trust in Him and everything will work out for the best!

Prayers

Chapter 59: Tough Weekend

Hey;

Well, finally I can get a break to post at the a little something here. I'm more the less just breathing in and out, in the matter of words. I have no clue what to write this time around! ha! Which is totally unusual for me - stuck for words! ha!

Well, 'tough weekend' is just a small phrase that I put on this weekend.

First, I go to drive' - Grrr.... I really think they should take that off the computers, it's more annoying thenwork at 1, and guess what - someone restarted the computer and I lost all my hard work that I done to the Town's Website I know for a 100% fact I saved it all, BUT - but, I never saved it on 'T good. The computers were doing just fine before Trevor put that program on... ha! Oh well, it's all good.

Anyways, around 2ish my sister called and told me that my other sister (Pam) was in a car accident. Basically, she hit loose gravel, swerved a few times and then she went over the side of the road - dug in and flipped over and few times. Amazingly she jumped out of the car and crawled to the road where a good samaritan picked her up and brough her to the house where we took her to the hospital. With the damage done to the car, it's surprising that this blog has a happy ending. Pam only had a few scraps, cuts, bumps and bruises - that's all, well and them emotional trama that goes along with the accident.

I can't even put the words in here that can describe how AWESOME God is. Just when the devil had life in his grasp, God's hand rested upon that car and her life and she 'walked out of it'... WOW!

Anyways, thank God that Pam's ok.. and hope you (and Pam) realizes that there might not be any second chances - she is one of the lucky ones!

So yeah, World Geography Public on Tuesday - it's not gonna be hard, but LONG! YAWN! According to how bored I was with the English one, I'll die with the Geography one! haha! I'm taking Monday off work so that I can study ALL day, as well as today. I was planning to take Saturday night off to study, but as you can tell, my mind was elsewhere last night. But yeah, wish me luck at the least! Say a little pray for me too - that I'll be smart enough to do good.. hehe!

Anyways, Yeah.. I'm outta here!

Peace
Prayers
~Josh

PS. It's pretty bad now, my 50th blog was back when we had the wake-a-thon in school, school is pretty much out now and it was even before Grad, and Grad has been over for a month.. ha! Shame, I haven't blogged 10 times in over a month, been a busy time! Peace!

Chapter 58: Random Thoughts

Hey Everyone,

So a couple of you read my blog about 'Non-Christian friends' eh? Or at the least a few people have commented about it, either on MSN or in person to me. Good stuff, as long as someone is reading it and the main thing (that I hope for) getting something from it. Praise the Lord... ha!

Anyways, God is good! Amen to that one eh?

Well then, let's see. This is my 58th blog - nothing special about this one. I'm actually planning to make it to 100 by the time I move to Edmonton (which is 77 days from today-hopefully)!! WOOT! Not a promise, but a promise to try at the least!

All I done today was study for English, I have a public to write tomorrow.. (yipee..) I think I'll do good. I just hate that stupid MacBeth play... I hate that stuff... so blah! haha! Anyways, yeah..

I'm just blabbling on and on now.. I have three other people talking to me on MSN and to be honest, that is more fun then blogging at the moment. I have to work tomorrow so, I shalt be off. Idol @ 9:30 and then bed.. ha! Might go over a few more terms.. again.. ha!

Peace

Chapter 57: Bad Company Corrupts Good Character

Hey;

Welcome back to the Blog of Josh! Ha! I should be welcoming myself back I guess, it's been a while. I've promised you all that even though I work full time now, I would still keep up with the whole blogging thing and thus fulfilling my promise as of right now. But yeah, I promise that there will be more to come throughout the summer as well.
So, for sure everyone will ask about THIS (posts) Title.... 'Bad Company Corrupts Good Character'! I think it's quite good actually. It's a verse that I came across as I was doing my devotion for today. Well, to be totally honest, I never 'came across it' - I 'looked' for it for a reason. Here's the story:

I got off work last night around 9(ish). As I was walking home, I was stopped by someone who asked me the simple question 'should a Christian hang around with non-Christians?'. Playing it smart I never shot an answer out right quick. Instead I took the advise Mr. Chipp always gave me 'A still tongue makes a wise head'. I gave it a shot - being 'still' that is, thought, and then gave back my answer.

I'm not gonna come right out and say my answer on here, but I will back my answer up with biblical scripture, thus giving you a clear perspective of what I think the answer (to the question asked) is.

If we look at the book of Proverbs (Chapter 12:26) ' A righteous man is cautious in friendship, but the way of the wicked leads them astray' - it clearly shows that a 'righteous' person is cautious in friendships and it clearly states that 'the ways of the wicked leads them astray'. Now don't think I am saying that all 'non-Christians' are 'wicked' -cause I'm not. So again, if we look at that - and apply that 'everything affects us' and my personal favorite 'our atmosphere affects our attitude' if we are 'around' the 'wicked' (aka: non-Christians) then we WILL (not maybe, or 'for some' -WILL) effect us. If we (as Christians) are putting ourselves in an atmosphere of wickedness, then to the obviously degree... Our ways will become wicked.

Secondly, Proverbs 13:20 'He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm' - you can easily piece this together yourselves. If you want to be wise stick with the wise. If you want to be a fool, stick with the fools.

Thirdly, Proverbs 14:7 'Stay away from a foolish man, for you will not find knowledge on his lips'
Clearly it states that we are to 'stay away' from a foolish man. Again, another obvious meaning.

Proverbs 24:21 'Fear the LORD and the king, my son, and do not join with the rebellious'
Again, God is being VERY clear on his intentions for us. 'DO NOT JOIN' with the rebellious. As Christians, God don't want us to let our friends be totally the opposite of what and who we are. 'How can light live with darkness'? 'How can goodness partner with evil'? It CAN'T!

2 Corinthians 6:14 'Don't team up with those who are unbelievers'. God is again, clearly telling us what to do.

1 Corinthians 15:33 'Do not be misled: "Bad company corrupts good character."

Inclosing, God is clear, His word is clear and His intentions are clear. I'm not saying that we should not be friends with unbelievers but rather our SOLE purpose for becoming friends with them should be to win them over for Christ by letting out Christ like attitudes shine through and every opportunity that you (and I) get we should witness about Christ to them.

Again, God is clear through His word.

To the person who asked me this question, if you ever read this post - I hope I helped solve your answer. I have used strict biblical support and have done my research.
To other readers, both Christian and non-Christians, I hope I helped you in some way. I pray that God will be convicting on your souls and that we would just grow together in Christ like He ask us too.

Peace
Prayers

Chapter 55: TAYLOR WON

OH.. I ALMOST FORGOT...

TAYLOR WON!!

Chapter 54: A Little Bit Of Everything

Hey Everyone;

WOW! It's been a while. A number of people have been complaining that I haven't been blogging in a while - I didn't know that ye all cared so much. A LOT of people have been asking to see some grad pictures. I emailed them to 50 people so hopefully that suited everyone, some people did complain however that the pictures were to big. Oh well, at least you got them! :)

So yeah, it's been a while. I wasn't in an overly good mood for ALL May month and my 'inspiration' was running low.. it's a new month so I figured there was no point in allowing the 'bad month' continue into my new month. :)

Well, here is a picture of all of us at the grad:

Photocredit: Heather Newbury

Anyways, I applied for the CAP Youth Intern and finaly had my interview last night at 7:45. It went over really well, despite the quick nervousness I experienced just before it took place, but yeah - it went over well cause I GOT THE JOB! :) - snaps for me... :)

But yeah, I start Monday and I can't wait. I'll try to post more later but again, with the rate I'm going now, I won't even think about blogging while I'm working all summer.. ha! JK - I'll find time - promise! :)

But yeah, I'm in school now... ha! I'm suppose to be doing Visual Basics but Tash is not here and I done my share, so there is one more part left to do and I'm making Tash do it! ha!

Anyways, I should be going... I have things to do. -yeah.. sure.. ha!
