Chapter 130: Pay It Forward

Hey Guys;

It's just 8:30am here in Edmonton now- and today as been amazing already. God has certainly been moving around here and blessing people for sure.
Well, I just have to tell you a quick little story that happened to me already today. 6:30am rolls around, Danielle and I have YMIT Prayer at school. I don't have a class until 10:50am, so I consider not going (sad I know but...). I wake up.. turn off my alarm clock and lays back down. All of a sudden, a urge came over me. I got up, got dressed and pulled on like 3 shirts, hoddies coats, two pairs of pants, socks... like no joke- it's BITTER cold here. Anyways... we both make it to Prayer and God really showed up. It was a good time in God. Anyways- everyone else had class but me, so I lefted to go home. The 7-Eleven store is right across the road from me so I thinks 'now is my chance to get a nice coffee and some morning cookies... it takes like 5 minutes waiting to cross the MAIN street here in Edmonton, so I grow tired of standing but finally, I can walk across. When I get into the store, I fill up the larges coffee cup, grab a chocolatechip cookie and a long john and go to cash. I put it down, he checks it in- I reach for my wallet... I left it home. Me, standing there- so dumb... started searching my coat for any money what-so-ever but nothing. I start to appologise when a man in the back shouts 'I'll get it for ya, don't worry about it'. A middleaged man walks forth, gets a coffee for himself and takes out money and pays for both of our stuff. I thank him for what he had done and told him if I ever sees him around here again, I'd 'get him back' (there actually is a good chance you'd see a person again in this area). He laughed and said 'nah, all i ask is that you PAY IT FORWARD'!
Yes, Pay It Forward.... I don't know if he had just watched the movie about the kid who tries to do three nice things for people and they're suppose to do three nice things for another three people.. and so on.. but man- it hit me. A complete stranger, here in Edmonton, where everyone warns you not to talk to people you dont know, where you don't take things from strangers, where you are made to believe that you can trsut noone.... this man named Bob steps up and changes my idea of 'Edmonton people'. And it was even by a simple gesture of paying for a coffee.

But yeah, I told him that I'd be praying for him and that I would indeed 'Pay It Forward'!

Blessings;

Joshua

Chapter 129: God of Wonders Beyond Our Galaxy

Hey Everyone;

I trust that you all are doing well and that you managed to make your way to my blog again, which is a good thing.

Well, I don't really know what to make this blog about. I entitled this blog 'God of Wonders Beyond Our Galaxy' for the simple fact that it has been playing on my mind for the past few months. Until yesterday, I never fully understood the wonders of God, I still don't but man- all I can say... it blows my mind everyday. I wake up- no matter what happens, I think about how awesome it is to live another day- to be here with my friends and family (well, my family is back on the Rock, but you knows what I mean) and that I have the awesome privledge to walk beside God again- for another day. I often wonder why God keeps us around. Why he comes around us, comforts us, guides us or even love us. WHY DO HE? Afterall, we are so unworthy of God's love, mercy and grace. We mess up everyday but thanks be to God for forgiving us! Even in the lowest of lows and the point where you think God just can't forgive you. HE CAN and HE WILL! There is NOTHING that God won't forgive you for- nothing. He loves you, wants to be with you and something new that YMIT has been teaching me- he wants you JUST AS YOU ARE!
Guys, things are changing. God is moving and it's the matter of time before God opens the floodgates of heaven and pours the blessing onto this earth like he has never before have!

CAN YOU FEEL IT!

PRAY GUYS, PRAY!

Be Blessed;

Joshua

Chapter 128: Dream + Interpretation

Well Guys;

Rather weird thing happened. I had a dream. (not the MLK Jr. dream but... like the Pharoah's dream I talked about in my last blog). It is rather odd at that and I don't really fully understand it yet- but it was so cool, so I figured I'd tell you all anyways.

Okay- all I can remember at the first of it was that I cut my fingure REALLY bad on something, my left hand, index fingure. It was completly cut all the way through, yet with no blood and the top was just hanging on by a piece of skin. Anyways, I was freaking out (as anyone would be eh?) and running around to all of my friends asking if they would bring me to the hospital. The first half seemed to be here in Edmonton, and all of my friends here was a part of it. The weird thing is that they didn't notice me. I cried out for help from them and they just pushed me aside and went on with their own things. It was like a trance and I was in Newfoundland, and all of my friends back there was doing the same thing to me. Finally I saw a police officer and rushed to him and told him that I needed to go to the hospital and showed him my finger. He pushed me aside as well and left me in the middle of the road... then I collasped - broken.

As soon as I woke up, I remember the dream fully and I understood what it meant.

For so long, I have been putting people in place of God. I have been relying on people to talk to, go to, cry with and laugh with and they became my 'center' in the dream. However, when things got bad, I turned to them but this time they didn't want me- they pushed me out of the picture and ignored me, even though I was 'dying' as such in the dream- after every person that pushed me away, I became weaker and weaker... and finally after the last person that I thought would help me (the police officer) pushed me away and then I died. The dream helped me see that I depend on people too much. I try to rush to them whenever anything happens.. with the end result of me- dying(according to the dream).

Anyways, it was cool and my first dream like that.
I'm not saying it's 'from God' or any master 'interpretation' or anything else related to that whole lot... but I understood it, I could see it relate to me... and it was cool.

Chapter 127: I Stand Amazed

Hey Everyone;

It's so like twenty after twelve here in Edmonton- which makes it like almost four back home on the Rock. I was just reading my bible and listening to the song 'I Stand Amazed' by Passion Band. God directed my to a passage in Genesis where Pharaoh had two dreams- one of cows and another of grains- where the weak/poor ate the good/strong cows and grains. Thanks to Joseph, Pharaoh got an interpetation of his dream, which was that his land would go through seven years of good times, and then seven years would follow of severe famine. Pharaoh made Joseph ruler of Egypt and everyone had to obey his commands. He decided to store up food during the seven good years and sell it during the bad years- and this is what he done.

It's just funny how time and time again people in the bible has a dream and seeks all the crazy people to interpet it eh? They go to the people who study the stars above them, the people who believe in horoscopes and all that nonsense- and all the times they do, none of them can tell them what the dreams mean. It takes a real man of God to see what the dreams mean- and that's who I want to be.

God has been laying several things on my heart to deal with my future ministry. I don't know if Vanguard is in that totally yet, if another school here is, or a school somewhere else- or just work. God is really showing that people are called to very different areas to share the gospel with the rest of the world. A writer is a huge step in that direction for me, and it's sortta what I feel I am called to do... but must I persue more time at Vanguard College before I can continue? That's totally up to God.

Anyways; I just thought I'd share that little but with you before I fall asleep, and also I want to post the lyrics to the song I mentioned earlier- take a strong hold onto the lyrics becuase they are amazing.

I stand amazed in the presence
Of Jesus the Nazarene,
And wonder how He could love me,
A sinner, condemned, unclean.

Refrain

O how marvelous!
O how wonderful!
And my song shall ever be:
O how marvelous!
O how wonderful!
Is my Savior’s love for me!

For me it was in the garden
He prayed: “Not My will, but Thine.”
He had no tears for His own griefs,
But sweat drops of blood for mine.

Refrain

In pity angels beheld Him,
And came from the world of light
To comfort Him in the sorrows
He bore for my soul that night.

Refrain

He took my sins and my sorrows,
He made them His very own;
He bore the burden to Calvary,
And suffered and died alone.

Refrain

When with the ransomed in glory
His face I at last shall see,
’Twill be my joy through the ages
To sing of His love for me.

Chapter 126: Busy Week+end

Wow.

There is no better word to describe this past week then the one I choose. Well, last Monday was the beginning of Modular week- thus resulting in 8 hour days and very busy days, cause anythign extra I needed to do had to be done between the hours of 6-11(I go to bed normally by 11). But yeah... so that took us all week- and than Friday took us up too 3:45, when we got out. At four, YMIT went and done another service, this time at Northwest Pentecostal church- it was amazing. We played games, worshiped and listened to Lorne speak.. and as always- after the service we played more games and ate Pizza! Woohoo!

Saturday was another busy day- I got a job at the Bargin Shop, I'll start Saturday. I have to wait and see how it'll mess my Student Loan- if it has ANY affect, I won't take the position.

Today, Sunday- some of the SPL students had to do ministry work at the Bareen(spell) Church of God, which is a small 'house' church, with 95% of East Indian people. It was pretty good, I was responsible to give my testimony- which went rather well. :) I got to meet Brother Brad's son- Brett. He totally wanted my blog address and seemed rather impressed when I told him that I write. :) - Anyways, I'm sure you found you're way here man.. have a good time reading everything I have to say, and it was good to meet you!

Well, tomorrow - Monday! Paul at 8... I'm SO totally NOT looking forward to that. They should give us Monday as a rest day, glory be by's.... the Missions team got back late last night, the rest of us had a tiresome week with MOD.... give us a break! Come Christmas eh!

Anyways... I'm gone!

Chapter 125: The Official Josh Thomas BroadCast PodCast

Hey;

It's here. I have mentioned it before and it's finally here! The OFFICIAL JOSH THOMAS BROADCAST PODCAST- despite the doubt of some, it's here and it's gonna be big! :) (i wish...)

Anyways... Chapter One of the BroadCast PodCast is just a random intro of me welcoming you all and learning a simple lesson about garbage. It's not much but I have a intro put together and a closing... WITH music... haha! My video editing skills seem to have gone down the drain, simple due to the fact I worked with my desktop back on the Rock, and now all I have is this laptop.. with alot less programs! :( - It's all good tho... it's simple, fun and hopefully... it'll keep people informed about me, my life and my boring days- which happens quite a bit. I have a number of different things planned for this podcast and hopefully it'll last at least a few months... at random times. It's basically just to show you my life here in the big city of Edmonton!

Anyways, I won't keep you waiting so here it is: Chapter One of the Josh Thomas Broadcast PodCast:

Chapter 124: The MySpace Bandwagon

Hey Everyone;

Okay- another quickie introducing the new official Josh Thomas MySpace. It seems that everyone is getting a myspace, so I decided I'd get one too. Actually, I got this myspace account on October 30 2005- I just couldn't get it working, but with all the new people asking me if I have one... I decided to revive it.

Anyways, check it out.

Chapter 123: Creative Communications # 2

Hey;

Well, day four of Creative Communications. I have four minutes before class officially starts... it should be a good day, we're covering the 'technology' part of the communication bit- which is right up my alley. I'm rather bored waiting already though.
Well, sorry to YMIT- I missed this morning prayer meeting, Danielle had called and called me- but my cell was turned onto viberate and yeah.. the doors were locked- so I just slept. I can't believe I forgot it tho, I feel horrible now. Anyways, YMIT members, my official appologies going out to you all.
So... yeah, I'm here from 8am to 4pm now... so it's another long day... and I'm gone to start it!

Blessings;

Chapter 121: Bennett?

Hey Everyone;

Two blogs in one day... this hasn't happened in a while. Well, it's a little late at night and I was just surfing different things and decided to check out my Creative Communications teacher (Dave Von Bieker) website, which links me to another site, and then to THIS(click the word 'this'): Bennett!
This turns out to be my teacher's band.... yes, Dave Von Bieker HAS a band... creepy eh? Funny thing, I like it! : Dave, you just won me over... and I think you have some serious talent. This is definetly blog worthy and rather interesting... this is the first time that my teacher has a rather cool website and a rather amazing band! This is odd to me actually, but good on ya!

Well, I think this is doing more than my share... you can download his music off that site, and all you have to do- spread the word. So here I am, taking the songs- and now blogging about it, thus spreading the word. Also, I shall link the site from mine.

Blessings;
(wait, I can say 'Bennett' - I learned that Bennett also meanings Blessings...)

Chapter 117: Internet Explorer 7.0

Hey Everyone;

Well I'm just here to tell you a small bit about the BRAND NEW Internet Explorer 7.0 Browser! It's fantastic- seriously! Well, I posted a few back about Flock, the 'newest and coolest' browser that I know about... well, just after a short two weeks (if that) it's been on my computer, it's been retired already.

Microsoft has steped up in their browsers and put a awesome cool look to it, with many sweet benifits- my personal favorite.... BUILT IN SECURITY! Now those nasty virsus and adware junk can't get on my computer, thanks to Microsoft's sleek technology upgrade.

Here is a screen shot of the new browser:

Well, it's great! I'm gonna take off and continue to see just what Microsoft has done...

But really, I have to go and read- I have four reports due Monday, with two FULL books to read! :)

Blessings,

Chapter 116: All That I Have

Hey;

Yeah.. umm- I promise a real blog next time... but I feel this song, since it now has some importance to me.. I want to post the lyrics- even if ye don't want me too... and yeah- tough, it's my blog... and I want too.. feel free to read or just leave. :)

The song is called 'Everything I Have' and it is one of FOUR songs Clay Aiken wrote for his NEW CD- (by the way.. it is AMAZING.. no joke.. one of the best secular CD's I have ever heard). But yeah.. have a read:

Everything I Have

I feel like I never measure up to who you see
Sometimes I think I can't give you all the love you need
You keep changing everyday
Amazing me in every way

If I could be the perfect man in your eyes
I would give all I'm worth to be a part of your life
I could promise the world but it's out of my hands
I can only give you everything I have

I never dreamed I could ever feel the way I do
I hope and pray I will always be enough for you
I can only do my best
I have to trust you with the rest

If I could be the perfect man in your eyes
I would give all I'm worth to be a part of your life
I could promise the world but it's out of my hands
I can only give you everything I have

I promise I'll hold you through the changes and fears
When life seems unclear
And when I can't be right there with you
I know there's angels by your side

If I could be the perfect man in your eyes
I would give all I'm worth to be a part of your life
I could promise the world but it's out of my hands
I can only give you everything

If I could be the perfect man in your eyes
I would give all I'm worth to be a part of your life
I could promise the world but it's out of my hands
I can only give you everything I have

Chapter 114: The Day After

Hey Everyone;

It's the 'day after' - the day after our horrible Turkey Day. It was pretty bad if I do say so myself and everything that I made didn't turn out that great- which made me rather upset... cause I wanted my Turkey Day meal to be somewhat like moms.... but it was FAR from. Okay, it wasn't that crappy... but it wasn't that good. It was just enough to be thankful for... at least I had friends and some kind of food to eat. :o)

Anyways... yeah- so how is everyone's day so far? My morning was rather interesting! I woke up, showered and than done laundry and read while doing so. After I come back.. Sarah is making breakfast for us- some weird pears fryed in grease... eww! I wouldn't eat it.. anyways... somehow (I seriously can't remember how) a can of wipcream came into play and we got into a wipcream fight. It was all over the walls, floors, doors and US! It was SO funny... I wish we took pictures... but it was kindda hard to do with all the wipcream! Sarah had it all over her clothes and hair... I got her in the face with a big pile of it in my hand pretty good! She got me good as well.. I'll give her credit on that part. :) It was a blast and yeah- I had to get back into the shower... it was super funny! :)

Oh my... So yeah- last night, Jus and I slept in the same room... like 1am Sarah and Amanda came in- and Amanda sang to us. I was half asleep so it was rather annoying... yet funny at the same time. I tell ya- it's like a zoo up here! :)

Anyways, I'm doing a major assignment- I'm taking a break from it just to blog. Actually, I wrote like 3 pages so I stopped for a bit, and read a book that I have to have a report done up and handed in by Mid-Week... Mmm... busy week for me again this week!

Anywhos--- I'm gonna take off again. Get back to reading.. eat and than Paully Wally again! :)

Chapter 113: Happy Turkey Day

Hey-Hey;

Happy Turkey Day to one and all! It's an awesome day here in beautiful Alberta. The sun is shining, the air is nice and crisp- it's a real fall, perfect 'turkey day'!
So far today, we went to church- which was good. We came home- put the turkey on- I have awesome pictures, that I'll put along with the blog. It was so funny! I'm here now, just chilling. I soon have to do some homework (gotta make the day productive). I picked yesterday not to worry about a bit of homework, so tonight now I have to start cracking. Same as tomorrow- last day for break... all day full of homework. Suppose I have to tie myself to a chair and study- I'm doing it! :)

Well, I missed all the other YC feeds :( - I have been trying and trying BUT the feeds are busy. There are alot of people watching, which is amazing! Maybe YC will release official numbers of just how many hits they got this weekend! :) Anyways, I'm DYING to get some YC updates- see how things went, where YC is next year (I predict St. Johns but for some reason Labrador maybe... or I could be just crazy! lol)

Anyways.. yeah- Just closing it up with a shout out to ALL my family and friends back home... Happy Thanksgiving to you all. I SO wish I could be there with you all but I can't so yeah... instead I'll leave you with these pictures:

Blessings;

Hey Everyone;

Okay- YC Newfoundland is SO happening RIGHT NOW, as I blog this! I have been watching online and it has been mindblowing- I hope everyone in Corner Brook is getting as much as I am from it... and I'm in Alberta! Last night service (it was about 4:30 here) was amazing. I sent the link to watch the online feeds of YC to a number of people and they all came back after saying how much it moved them. :) It was awesome! Anyways... I was talking to Robin, Heather, Jer, Rudy, Stefan, Scott, Dean, Stacy and Jessica last night on MSN. It helped me out alot... just knowing that everyone was there! :) But yeah- emotional afterwards but, amazing! :) Guys, and to ALL of our youth group that IS at YC- SHOUT! Guys, SHOUT TO THE LIVING GOD! That's all I have to say! I'm so gonna watch again tonight and tomorrow- can't wait!

Chapter 111: Our God Reigns

'Our God Reigns... Forever His Kingdom Reigns'

There is no better way to start out this blog than the awesome words of 'OUR GOD REIGNS'! Amen. I have not posted a 'religious' post in quite some time now, so I really feel the need to somewhat tie 'God' into this blog.
Well, what to say. I could say 'Our God Reigns'and sum it all up with my now-famous words 'Peace Out' and that'll be it for this blog but I think it needs more.
But 'Our God Reigns'- how true is that? I have to admit that I have been having a hard time adjusting to the 'Vanguard' life- and all the work that comes with this college life. I have a very little desire to start, let alone finish the book reports, papers and more... but for some reason I know I have too. I think I need to hear a word about how we should/need to bless God with our studies, cause right now, again- I have little devotion. But OUR GOD REIGNS! No matter if I am doing this work or not-

Our God Reigns in the dawn of morning.
Our God Reigns in the noon of day.
Our God Reigns in the darkest of night.
Our God Reigns!

No matter WHERE we are, WHAT we do or HOW we go about our day- OUR GOD REIGNS!
God is in control of everything and even though some times we forget that and allow ourselves slip far enough that we get on thin ice, our God still reigns.

In today's society, alot of people do not consider 'God' to be a huge part of their lives and just even last night- I had a person tell me that they don't believe in Heaven/Hell, God/Satan. I wish I had the opportunity back to tell that person even if they didn't believe it, our God reigns and his KINGDOM REIGNS FOREVER MORE!

Anyways- I just felt the need to post about how our God reigns and to remind everyone that God IS still in control. :)

Peace Out
Prayers

Josh (Yoshi? -)

Also, like Rudy talked about- the good improvment of 'blog this'- I like!

Chapter 105: Kutless Concert OR Homework?

Hey Everyone;

How is everyone doing? I'm awesome- my back is SO much better, thanks Reesor for praying for me in class... :P - But yeah. Like I said, I'm awesome. I'm home here now... somewhat moping! :( - Here's why... I forced myself to stay home instead of going to a Kutless Concert. I'm here, at the apartment while everyone else is gone to enjoy themselves at the Kutless Concert that is like 1/2 hour away from us. :( WHY did I choose the option I did? Simple because the homework I have is a book about 'discipline'. I am not a overly BIG Kutless fan, but come on- they are 'huge' on the 'Christian' scene. Plus, their worship album made it BIG in my CD collection.. haha! Anyways, yeah. I pushed off reading this book, I was half way done and was like.. yeah, I'll do it later. Then, this comes up and I'm thinking.. GO? Read? - so out of a disciplinary act... I stayed home and tackled that book. Oh well, I'm sure it won't be that fun anyways... (pouts)! ha! Oh well, I'm gonna go see Casting Crown soon anyways so... :P - nah! :) CC is WAY better then Kutless anyways... :)

But yeah, I'm here, taking a break from the book already. I put on a Christian radio station that is on 'iTunes'- that program is awesome... WAY better then Windows Media Player... And I can't even remember who or how I was introduced to it. :) Oh well, it's there and it's good! :)

Anyways.... School again tomorrow.. 8am! Paul class is good, but it would be WAY better if it was later in the day. My mind is slow at 8am and so far, I ain't getting much from the class. :P I'm sure it'll kick in sooner or later.

That reminds me (and I don't know how Paul reminds me of this... :S) I have yet to have supper. I must go and grab something from the fridge.

Peace
Prayers

Chapter 103: In The Zone

Hey Everyone;

I know I haven't been blogging a whole lot- it's been three weeks (actually more than that now) and I have blogger what, two, three times. Shame on me. I'm normally busy, in some sort of way. I have yet to really grow attached to the 'city life' but in most ways I have I guess. I like the fact that there is 'so much more too do' but with little ' mula'... it's hard to do a whole lot. :) I'm loving the school here, but the weather is too cold (and it's only September... I'll die in December). I like the apartment and the area, but the fact that people don't smile, or say hello on the street bothers me. Sometimes I say 'good morning' but I just get a glance back or a very muffled 'hello'. That is the BIGGEST part of me missing home- well that and my family. haha!

Anyways, that's just some of the things that have been playing on my mind since 'the big move'.

School is awesome! I love it. I'm on a YMIT team (basically it's a 'outreach' team). We are going all over Edmonton and doing ministry work - I'm super excited about that. But all I ask, just say a little prayer over it. :) It'll be sweet.. and I'm sure I'll be talking about different things we do later on, once we get started. :)

Oh, just wanted to congratulate Jenn and Nelson on their baby girl. Jenn had her today and I do believe her name is Taylor Roxanne Sharon Shiner. I predicted it would be a boy but it's not... ha! It'll be 'little Jennie Jr.' now, instead of 'Nelsie Jr.'- :) Once again, congrats!

What's the news back home anyways? I keep up with VOCM and The Nor Wester - thank God for online news eh? But yeah, so if you're from back home.... leave a message and tell me a lil' 'clip' about it.. pictures? stories... poems? anything! haha!

But yeah, I'm gone!

Peace
Prayers

Chapter 102: Not A Good Day So Far

Hey Everyone;

Oh my... this is not turning out to be a good day what-so-ever already... *sigh*. First off, school didn't start for me today until 10:50, so I set me alarm for 9:30 - figured I'd sleep 'in' a little bit, and get some rest. It was after 12 when I set the alarm and guess what I did? Yup, I must have hit the button and set my clock one hour ahead. Anyways, Rudy and Tash have a class at 8 - so based on MY clock they were late... and as I was half asleep I was thinking if they really did have a class or did they just start at 9. Oh my... they leave and I lay in bed thinking... 9 rolls around so I decides I'll shut off the alarm, jump in the shower and then I can study for a bit. I take a shower, clean up my room (some what cleaned it up... okay, fine. I made the bed... lol) and then put my books together for class. Then I come out to make breakfast. Poptarts all the way, after all- they serve lunch here on Tuesdays so I'm covered. I sit down with my poptarts and start to eat them, while eatting I glance up at the clock and it says '8:30'. I start freaking out.... no no no, I didn't notice the time WAS wrong, I thought my clock's battery had died! Ahhhh.... I gets a little mad at the somewhat cheep batteries we bought... and stomps out in the kichen for some water. THEN... yes, THEN it hits me- actually I noticed the time on the microwave... and it dawns. So, in a nutshell- I was thinking I was up at 9, to be ready for my 10:50 class, but REALLY, I was up at 8 (EIGHT) for my 10:50 class... oh my... so yeah.

It's all good I guess, cause I wasn't planning to blog this early (even though right now it is after 12 noon back home in Newfoundland). but I thought this would make a good read!

Oh yeah, someone tripped the lamp last night, and it crashed down on the floor. I picked it up this morning, turned it on and the blub was blowed.. so now, we are bulbless! Oh well,... the store sells em.. AND they're cheep! haha!

Chapter 101: Congrats Be To Eva

Congratulations to Eva! Winner of Canadian Idol Season 4.

Personally, out of Criag and Eva- I was rooting for Craig. I never liked the 'Newfie' that represented 'us' since Jenny Gear.. but Craig was actually very good. He's so a pop singer and can easily question some of the things he done, but that doesn't matter in the 'singing' world... in that world.. you SING!

Sorry Craig, but I'm sure Sony will sign you just like they signed Rex.

Good luck!

PS.. I gotta finish reading 'Celebration of Discipline' - if you can, get the book.

Chapter 100: I'm Back

HEY!

WOW- it's been some time. I actually been trying to blog for weeks now, but I forgot my password and for some reason, didn't bother to reset my password. Anyways, I'm here- I got my password, it's pouring rain outside, it's a little chilly in the apartment thus, I'm blogging.

Well, What do I say? I missed you all. I missed the comments, I missed the writing, I miss everything.

Well, where do I begin. I'm here in Alberta. I'm settled in my apartment for weeks now. It was a bit rough at the first of it, but now that we're here.. we're good. :) We had wicked hot weather for the first little bit but two days now, it's bee pouring rain- like ALOT. Its good though, cause it was getting a little too hot, even for me.

I'll post a few pictures of our apartment:

That is our kitchen- all fitted out with fridge, microwave, stove, etc.

This is our couch/living room.

That's enough for now. haha! Anyways, I'm too tired to write anymore, and since I'm alone now- I'm gonna go sleep.

Peace & Prayers

Chapter 99: Sooner Or Later

Hey;

Okay. this HAS to be super quick cause I have little time. Okay, I'm flying out in some 15 and a half hours- pretty freaked too now. My heart is all heavy and I feel sick. :( But yeah, I know I'm going in the will of God so, that's all that matter. But yeah... this is my last blog from Newfoundland for a while, and just wanted to thank you all for the good times, family, friends, ye all rock! We'll be seeing you around and yeah...

For the last time til I get internet access in Alberta-

Chapter 98: Canadian Idol- Spotlights Review

Okay, I just HAD to do this. I done this last year and got tore apart pretty good.. it was fun! haha!
Anyways, my disclaimer is 'these are MY comments and opinions' ! With that put aside, here:

Canadian Idol 4: Spotlights

Rob James: Let’s Stay Together
By now, everyone knows my opinions of Rob being in this competition.. With that said, I will recognize him for this review. Rob’s voice sounds really good on this CD. With his prior experience in the music industry plus the new ‘fame’ he got while being on Idol- he might be able to put out a new album. I doubt he’ll be as successful has be was but overall- the song would be a 3 out of 5.

Kati Durst: I Hope You Dance
Kati was my 2nd least favorite but on this CD, she would be in my top 5. Honestly, I think if Kati had to make a CD of her own, doing this type of songs- she would actually make it in this so called ‘music industry’. She done really, REALLY good with this song. She nailed it, drove it home and overall... sounded as if she truly meant what she was singing. Good On Ya Kati!

Brandon Jones: Lady
The beginning of the song makes it out that it will be really good- but, he falls after the second stanza of the song. Brandon was actually a favorite of mine in this competition and I was rooting for top 4 status. Based on this CD version of him... honestly, I don’t think he would make it. Lady was actually my least favorite song that he sung. Enough said- if he had to do ‘hip hop’ stuff, I would have had a better comment.

I’m The Only One: Ashley Coulter
This is how it is done baby! I mean like WOW! DONE it is! I would SO buy her CD if it was like this. The vocals was amazing, the music was amazing, the SONG IS AMAZING! Ashley done us all proud and bellowed out this masterpiece. Honestly, she would MAKE IT BIG in this world (even outside of Canada) and no joke- if they had Canadian Idol- Season 30 they would have a Ashley Coulter theme week! Ashley will BE AROUND... just a matter of time! :)

Here Without You: Tyler Lewis
Tyler has already made the top 4 (thus far) and I wouldn’t be surprised if he pulled this competition off and won the whole thing. This being based on this song. He’s the real deal. He done the song justice and personally, I like it better then the original (and that do not happen often). Tyler will get a record deal with Sony/BMG and will sell out stadium after stadium.. Give him three years, they will be saying ‘Tyler who?’ - sadly! Good luck tho man!

Eva Avila: Angel
Eva, she don’t make the top 10 cut based on this song performance. When she sung it live, I liked it. When I heard it on the CD, I didn’t. I’m a Eva fan (up until the top 6) so don’t get me wrong. She has some power, some sass, some cuteness, some bad notes. Overall, based on this performance- I would vote her out in the top 10.

Chad Doucette: Tonight I Wanna Cry
This song was good when he sung it live. Like Eva, he has power, sass, fun, hip and charisma by the ton. I just don’t like Chad on this CD and I can’t really pinpoint why. I love him (he’s my favorite in the whole thing clear of Steffi) but based on this sole performance - he wouldn’t make the top 10 cut either. If he makes a CD and it sounds like this, I wouldn’t buy it- sadly cause this kid HAS huge talent.

Sarah Loverock: I Don’t Want To Be
Sarah should have stuck around longer then she did. I’m not a fan of the ‘rock’ Sarah but the softer version of Sarah is what made her ‘special’ to me. She done good with the song, but like Chad and Eva, she wouldn’t make it far. She’s NOT the ‘rock’ type.. And I don’t know why Sony/BMG made her sing this song.. Ouch! I thought Idol was to help promote singers.... not make producers hear this and turn away. Sarah, I love you but nope, I wouldn’t buy your CD if it was like this.

Craig Sharpe: This I Promise You
*cough, Mariah Carry, cough* - Craig is 100% a Backsreet boy. It’s so funny too cause I bet you any money, they would want him. Craig is different from any other idol on Canadian Idol. Could he make it- in the ‘adult’ world, no.. in the ‘teen girl’ world- YES! Go Craig, Go! Enough said.

Steffi D: White Flag
Steffi is what she is- and THAT is FABULOUS! I love her- clearly the best on the CD! :) I’m a fan and this song would land her a winning performance for sure! Steffi done this song with pride and pure ‘Steffiness’. I love the version, I love the song, I love Steffi! She’ll be big- just watch!

Best: Steffi
2nd Best: Ashley

2nd Worst: Chad
Worst: Eva

PS.. I'm a HUGE Chad fan, but I just couldn't help it BASED ON THE CD VERSION OF HIM! AHHHH... SORRY CHAD!

PS... LAST BLOG WILL COME ON MONDAY!

Chapter 97: Radio Update +

Hey,

Yeah, We done the interview- it was actually more fun then I thought it would be. The host (Randy) was awesome.. funny and knew his stuff... good job might I add. I wish I could hear it, I wonder if they have an online broadcast that I can listen in on. I will be checking into that tho..

lol.

Well, I just wanted to let you all know that...

Man, Rudy, Rudy and Jer are gone to Camp this week- I was going but work stopped me... oh well, I know God is moving in there- I'd say I'll get the glory in Edmonton, after Rudy tells me all about it! haha! It's gonna be good.

Charlotte is about to post her 100th blog... which is cool. I think I am going to do something for her.. to help her celebrate it! haha! Char, if you read this, I'll make you a graphic to celebrate.. so DO NOT POST your 100th blog until I send it to you! :p

Well, Work awaits me, so I really should be going...

I'll post later today maybe?

Peace Out

Prayers

Chapter 96: Radio In A Few

Good Morning, and we're on the air!

Yeah, Hopefully the interviewer will say that- I think it's funny! But yeah, in about an half hour I will be 'on air' talking about April and myself's summer project - you know, the one we were paid to do- yeah... the History Book. CBC Radio (Central Morning Show) wants us (April and I) to do an interview this morning... we agreed. April finished work last Friday, so she still has to cover it.. muhaha! Although, I don't finish til Friday (2nd last day today) but Thursday mornings, I don't have to work... so... they are making me get out of bed. Which I am using this screen to keep me awake. :) - the light is bright, and the sun is up outside (yey for SUN)

Anyways, I'm going to be calling April at 8:30, just to make sure she's up. I was planning to make her do the interview by herself but then the Nor' Wester wanted to do a story on it as well- and she would have made me do that by myself... which is a NO.. cause they want pictures. I'll be in Edmonton, STILL making the news back home! haha! Sweet!

Well, I really should go- Only got to write 3, yup THREE, blogs until I reaches Edmonton... I'm starting my 100th blog IN Edmonton. That'll make it EXTRA special... I'll even take pictures of the apartment and post them... lol. Should be good! :)

Anyways, again- I really should go.

Peace

Chapter 95: Odd People + News Coverage = ?

Hey Everyone;

I know I'll reach my post 99 now, gee, I only have 4 more to go anyways so, I'd say I'll meet it. Well, the days are shortening now- it's soon be time for me to head out into the big world of Alberta! :) yeye! I ain't complaing for sure. HAhaha! But yeah, anyways... so, how have you been? Good, I've been good too. I finish work in TWO days! yey! I'm gonna miss it by'... I loved it there. This week have been semi-rushed-calm-fun-boring at work. April finished last Friday, so it can get boring there by myself (thank God for Music), but then- printing that History book- that keeps me on my feet! :P

Oh my, Steffi D was voted out of Idol last night... shame! She was amazing and I miss her already. She went out with a bang tho.. really impressed me! :)

Okay, just look at this, I won't comment on it- I took the picture and circled the 'odd people' stuff. I actually like the second one I circled. I think it's the coolest idea ever. The kid will grow up and have a FUN story to tell about HOW he got his name- someone picked it for him ONLINE! haha! That's cool! The first one is just odd- plain out odd!

Well, I must go again I suppose. I have yet to actually 'pack' anything yet - I have made a list of things I NEED to take, and have my suitcases ready to go- but oh well, I'll pack Saturday! :) It should be fun.. I think I'll start freaking out when I start, in a good way tho I guess. :)

Anyways, I'm gonna take off, I have 2 interviews to do tomorrow about the history book. One at 8:45 AM (which means I got to drag my butt out of bed early..ON my day off).. AND another one at 3 - both will include April! :) We're doing one over the phone and the other in person.. fun! ha!

But yeah,

Peace Out!

Chapter 94: New Book on Burlington

The following is a write up the VOCM station done up on the 'Lives We Lived' - History of Burlington:

Two teenagers from Burlington have written an historical record of the town, dating back to the early 1800s. Josh Thomas and April Kelly, both students working with the Community Access Program in Burlington, wrote the book during the summer. Thomas says they learned a lot of interesting tidbits about the town during their research, like it used to be the hub of the Baie Verte Peninsula, which was called the Burlington Peninsula. Thomas says the book is now available, and, yes he says, there is a section on Burlington's native son, Rex Goudie.

Disclaimer: the person who called from VOCM ASKED about the Rex bit- and I said, there's a small bit on him. SHE put in the last line... (oh well, good sales pitch.. lol)

Chapter 93: World Trade Center

Hey Everyone;

Okay- I have decided to post my thoughts about the new movie 'World Trade Center' at little earlier then I said. I took the time and watched it and have came up with the following thoughts about it:

wow! I will NOT ruin this movie for ANYONE! I wish I could get you all to watch it RIGHT NOW, but I know that's impossible. If you live near a theatre - GO SEE THIS MOVIE. The movie is SO inspirational. Basically, it's the story of two guys who helped rescue people during the World Trade Center attacks which took place on September 11th 2001. The two 'main' men in the movie go by the names 'Will' and 'John'. All throughout the movie it shows their struggle to survive after being trapped when the building collasped. Despite the few swears the writers put in (which I still don't know why they did) it was really, really good. Like I said, get to a movie theatre and watch this movie.

(I added this picture, cause alot of the movie you see this type of thing)

Also, I would like to just post the words that comes up at the end of the movie - I found this to be the perfect ending to the movie. It goes:

'2,749 people died at the World Trade Center, including citizens from 87 countries. 343 were New York Firemen, 84 were Port Authority employees of whom 37 were police. Another 23 were New York City Police. Only 20 people were pulled out alive. Will and John were numbers 18 and 19.'

But yeah- a pretty good movie, with a very inspiring theme. In closing, I just wanted to quote one of the men in the movie.

'September 11th showed us just what humans can do. The attack killed thousands but it showed us the good side of people. The good side we should be looking at'.

Chapter 92: God Bless This Guy

Hey;

Okay, if you click here you'll go to Generation Church - Pastor Judah's Church. Look around under the audio download section and download 'Sitting On The Edge' sermon by Pastor Elijah Waters. Listen to it and then come back to this blog.

*Some 48 minutes and 44 seconds later* (the length of the sermon)

Okay, now, to continue- Pastor Waters tell the story about the highschool kid who one day stood up in his class and told his class that 'Jesus is the one way' and to 'turn from your sins' and that 'God has a plan for your life'.... He then done this in every class he had that day!

Can you believe that courage! I mean, ... wow! I look at myself and think, have I ever done that for Christ? Stepping out on that level and taking the risk of being the 'laughing stock of the entire school'. The amazing thing about it, 6 people came to Christ because of what he did.
Pastor Waters then quoted the guy who said 'all the things that was said about me, was worth it- for those 6 people'. WOW!

That my friend is inspirational! God Bless Him- whoever he is, wherever he is!

Witnessing is possibly one of the hardest things a Christian can do. And there are so many ways we can do it.

But yeah- get that sermon, have a listen and be CHANGED!

God Bless

Chapter 91: To Tell The Truth

Hey;

'To Tell The Truth' - don't you just hate that. And I hate it even more when people ask for the truth:

'Josh, do you think I look fat' turns out be be 'umm... nah'.

'Josh, do you think I'm pretty' turns out to be 'ummm.. nah'

'Josh, would you ever think about going out with me' (low eh?) turns out to be 'ummm... i'll think about it'!

Clearly, it sucks! And it goes a step further when the truth comes out in the not-so-distant-future...

Ex: (as to the 2nd comment) - 'Man, that girl looks like she was beaten with the ugly stick-TWICE')

BTW, as my disclaimer - I normally don't do or say things like that.. so don't all freak out!

But yeah, 'To Tell The Truth' - especially when people can't handle the truth-... not fun. BUT we should be truthful. Should we 'lie' to make the truth less noticable- NO!
(ex: (as for the 1st comment) - 'nah, you're not fat.. my aunt Jimba won the worlds fattest lady competition in umm.. China- now SHE is fat')

Yeah, okay- I'll admit too now that I'm going way out of line now... and again, read my disclaimer.. I'll even put it bold:

BTW, as my disclaimer - I normally don't do or say things like that.. so don't all freak out!

But yeah... where was I. Truth- I think we should tell the truth even when it means our faces could get beaten in six inches. I think we should tell the truth when the person is so mad they would make you fit in a milk can- now I didn't say tell the truth and stick around- tell it and RUN!

Ha!

But yeah... as the saying goes 'Honesty is the best policy' - I don't know HOW it's the best... but I know it is! :)

BTW.. I am REALLY wanting to make my 99th blog before I leave.. so expect some random blogs in the next few post!

NEXT!

Chapter 90: Killing Off Pluto

And A BIG Hello To You All;

Information below is taken from here.

LOS ANGELES -- Our solar system is suffering an identity crisis. For decades, it has consisted of nine planets, even as scientists debated whether Pluto really belonged. Then the recent discovery of an object larger and farther away than Pluto threatened to throw this slice of the cosmos into chaos. Should this newly found icy rock known as "2003 UB313" become the 10th planet? Should Pluto be demoted? And what exactly is a planet, anyway?
Ancient cultures regularly revised their answer to the last question and present-day scientists aren't much better off: There still is no universal definition of "planet."
That all could soon change, and with it science textbooks around this planet.
At a 12-day conference beginning Monday, scientists will conduct a galactic census of sorts. Among the possibilities at the meeting of the International Astronomical Union in the Czech Republic capital of Prague: Subtract Pluto or christen one more planet, and possibly dozens more.
"It's time we have a definition," said Alan Stern, who heads the Colorado-based space science division of the Southwest Research Institute of San Antonio. "It's embarrassing to the public that we as astronomers don't have one."
The debate intensified last summer when astronomer Michael Brown of the California Institute of Technology announced the discovery of a celestial object larger than Pluto. Like Pluto, it is a member of the Kuiper Belt, a mysterious disc-shaped zone beyond Neptune containing thousands of comets and planetary objects. (Brown nicknamed his find "Xena" after a warrior heroine in a cheesy TV series; pending a formal name, it remains 2003 UB313.)
The Hubble Space Telescope measured the bright, rocky object at about 1,490 miles in diameter, roughly 70 miles longer than Pluto. At 9 billion miles from the sun, it is the farthest known object in the solar system. The discovery stoked the planet debate that had been simmering since Pluto was spotted in 1930. Some argue that if Pluto kept its crown, Xena should be the 10th planet by default -- it is, after all, bigger. Purists maintain that there are only eight traditional planets, and insist Pluto and Xena are poseurs. "Life would be simpler if we went back to eight planets," said Brian Marsden, director of the astronomical union's Minor Planet Center in Cambridge, Mass.
--
That's it by! IT IS WRONG! JUST WRONG! PLUTO SHOULD SUE! Come, he ended the newsbrief by saying 'life would be simpler if we went back to eight planets'... WHAT? How would that be simplier? The ENTIRE world would have to RE-PRINT EVERY BOOK about the solar system- this would cost the governement MILLIONS of dollars! WRONG I TELL YA!
Well, I think Pluto deserves to be there. Why don't they just make a distance - and whatever is in that distance belongs to this solar system.. that would solve the other 'planet' problem, we wouldn't have to enclude it...
WEll, I'm gone to email NASA with my concerns!

Chapter 89: Funnier Then Hitting Your Funny Bone

Hey Guys;

I just wanted to post some jokes that I labled 'Funnier Then Hitting Your Funny Bone'...

Enjoy:

TITLE: TO MY LOVING WIFE
A couple from Minneapolis decided to go to Florida for a long weekend to thaw out during one particularly icy winter. Because both had jobs, they had difficulty coordinating their travel schedules. It was decided that the husband would fly to Florida on a Thursday, and his wife would follow him the next day. Upon arriving as planned, the husband checked into the hotel. There he decided to open his laptop and send his wife an e-mail back in Minneapolis. However, he accidentally left off one letter in her address, and sent the e-mail without realizing his error.

In Houston, a widow had just returned from her husband's funeral. He was a minister of many years who had been 'called home to glory' following a heart attack. The widow checked her e-mail, expecting messages from relatives and friends. Upon reading the first message, she fainted and fell to the floor. The widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and saw the computer screen which read:

To: My Loving Wife
From: Your Departed Husband
Subject: I've Arrived!
I've just arrived and have checked in. I see that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you then! Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was.
(P.S. Sure is hot down here!)
--
TITLE: WHERE IS GOD?
A couple had two little boys, ages 8 and 10, who were excessively mischievous. They were always getting into trouble and their parents knew that, if any mischief occurred in their town, their sons were probably involved.

They boys' mother heard that a clergyman in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys. The clergyman agreed, but asked to see them individually. So the mother sent her 8-year-old first, in the morning, with the older boy to see the clergyman in the afternoon.

The clergyman, a huge man with a booming voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly, "Where is God?".

They boy's mouth dropped open, but he made no response, sitting there with his mouth hanging open, wide-eyed. So the clergyman repeated the question in an even sterner tone, "Where is God!!?" Again the boy made no attempt to answer. So the clergyman raised his voice even more and shook his finger in the boy's face and bellowed, "WHERE IS GOD!?"
The boy screamed and bolted from the room, ran directly home and dove into his closet, slamming the door behind him. When his older brother found him in the closet, he asked, "What happened?"

The younger brother, gasping for breath, replied, "We are in BIG trouble this time, dude. God is missing - and they think WE did it!"
--
TITLE: A Bucket Of Nuts
On the outskirts of town, there was a huge nut tree by the cemetery fence. One day two boys filled up a bucket with nuts and sat down by the tree, out of sight, and began dividing the nuts.
"One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me," said one boy. The bucket was so full, several rolled out toward the fence.

Cycling down the road by the cemetery was a third boy. As he passed, he thought he heard voices from inside the cemetery. He slowed down to investigate. Sure enough, he heard, "One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me."

He knew what it was. "Oh my," he shuddered. "It's Satan and St. Peter dividing the souls at the cemetery."
He cycled down the road as fast as he could and found an old man hobbling along with a cane. "Come here quick," said the boy. "You won't believe what I heard. Satan and St. Peter are down at the cemetery dividing the souls."

The man said, "Shoo, you brat, can't you see I'm finding it hard to walk as it is." But after several pleas, the man hobbled to the cemetery.

Standing by the fence, they heard, "One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me."
The old man whispered, "Boy, you've been telling the truth. Let's find out if we can see the devil himself." Shivering with fear, they peered through the fence, but they were still unable to see anything. The old man and the boy gripped the wrought-iron bars of the fence tighter and tighter as they tried to get a glimpse of Satan.

At last they heard, "One for you, one for me. And one last one for you. That's all. Now let's go get those nuts by the fence, and we'll be done."

They say the old guy made it back to town five minutes before the boy.
I laughed pretty hard at the first two.. the third, I heard before! :)

Chapter 88: Steffi D, Planes, Peace?

Hey;

It's me again- I could have just posted this in the other blog but I was like.. umm 'an extra blog chapter'- that was good enough for me. I am bound to reach my 99th blog by the time I leave.. which might I add is in a little more then two weeks. -yey!

Anyways... yeah- the title: Steffi D - SO far she's in the top 6 on Canadian Idol... she's a deadly performer and seems to be an amazing person (but hey, it could be just a front right?-lets not be naive here)... but yeah- my favorite performance HAS to be 'It's My Life' - she KICKED IT! Literally.. she kicked the stool off the stage.. haha! She's 'so exciting' - just like Jake Gold says! :) She offers something new each week and to me.. that's what the 'Canadian Idol' should be.. someone who is different from the rest, someone exciting and someone who offers something NEW! THAT my friend is STEFFI D! :) (PS.. VOTE FOR STEFFI-lol)

Here's Steffi:

I have trust in the security measures they are putting in place and if it DO go down... I'll send my best wishes via this blog! :) GO BUSH!

Chapter 87: God Water - Crazy?

Hey;

okay- look at this:

(if you can't read that there- click here)

Okay, lets very quickly look back at the history of 'water coming from things' - in a Godly sense... We know that Moses got water from a rock after he hit it with his staff - this took place in Exodus... Umm.. anything else?

SO--- is this poor woman gone crazy or are we just overlooking things God puts around us?

I'll let you think about that one.

Chapter 86: Holding It Back Long Enough

Hey;

Okay. I’m going to be super blunt in this blog and it’s gonna be entirely about Canadian Idol Season 4.

Rob James SHOULD NEVER be allowed ON the show. My opinion is that he shouldn’t have been even allowed to try out. He was a signed artist who failed. NOW he’s trying to make a come back- you’d think he’d step aside gracefully.. He had his chance and blew it... so get off the stage!

Tyler Lewis: I wasn’t a fan until last night. WOW! He guy reminds me of Rex Goudie in so many ways it’s freaky BUT personally, in my opinion- he can sing just a little bit better. Now I’m not saying Rex can’t sing, just in my taste, Tyler would have beat him. Top 5 material for sure!

Eva: The judges keep praising her up and I keep putting her down. We already have a Melissa O’Neil. She should be in the top 4 sure, but any further it would be a shame on Canada.

Chad: Can you say WINNER! Despite his weak performance last week, he still should win. Deadly singing, seems to have the personality for it... can he pull off the win? HE SHOULD CANADA!

Ashley Coulter: I was a fan when she audition but now she seems to try hard for a Suzi Rawn sort of thing. Based on ‘Knocking on Heavens Door’ she’s outta my book as a favorite... she should go this week.

Craig: This is what Newfoundland is offering as talent this year- to ALL of Canada..... and to be honest, I’m proud that we are. This kid has pipes man! NO DOUBT one of the best vocalist they EVER had on the show (and I watch every one)! This kid might not win but he’ll go far without a doubt... if Sony won’t sign him.. I will! Wait, I don’t have a record company (which is a life long goal for me)... but if I did, smart move would be to sign Craig.

Steffi D: SO AMAZING! WOW! SUPER! WONDERFUL! EXCITING! Steffi is everything a Canadian Idol should be! However, Canada sucks at voting and actually (I’ll even go as bold and say) they WON’T accept Steffi’s ‘through the roof’ talent! THIS GIRL KISS BUTT PRETTY BAD! SHE MAKES THE REST OF THEM ‘idols’ SEEM ALMOST... KARAOKE!

THERE! MY TRUTH ABOUT YOUR TOP 7!

Chapter 85: A New Low

Hey Guys;

Just gonna make this quite, and let you all know about a new low that happened here. Saturday night (late in the night so really it was Sunday morning) some idiots went into the graveyard here in town and kicked over 22 headstones. Sunday morning, a berry picker saw the happenings and reported it to the RCMP. They came over, took pictures- that's it. Now the have released a press release (Rudy thinks it much be a 'big case') and it should be. You see this stuff happen in larger places but never in the 'small' place- but is this what this town is coming to? SICK! These people should be caught and charged with everything they could be charged with. If they're underage, well- they'll get a slap on the wrist and be sent on their way... and they tell me there is nothing wrong with the justice system? I laugh!

Well, it's no doubt a new low for this town. I am honestly disappointed that such a thing would happen here. It was pretty hard for some of the 'older' folks here yesterday as well, as they look at what was done to their parents gravesites and their husbands, wives and other family. Many people cried with broken hearts and some more expressed their anger, and I don't blame them.

On a side note, I would like to ask that ANYONE who knows ANYTHING about this.. report it to the RCMP. If you don't want to 'get involved' as such, tell someone - like a parent or another friend- anyone who would bring it forth. Tell me if you have to, I don't have no trouble in reporting things that's for sure. Anyways.. keep an ear open and with that said...

Peace Out

The way I am going to do this, is I am going to pick out ONE person of each season and do a top 4 of my favorites... I’ll put them in categories based on my personal likings and who I THOUGHT should have won Canadian Idol- 1st (means they should have won), 2nd (runner up) 3rd (third place) etc.... anyways, here goes:

1st
Season One- Jenny Gear
Season Two- Jacob Hoggard
Season Three- Josh Palmer
Season Four- Steffi D

2nd
Season One- Billy Klippert
Season Two- Theresa Sokyrka
Season Three- Rex Goudie
Season Four- Chad Doucette

3rd
Season One- Audrey De Montigny
Season Two- Jason Greely
Season Three- Melissa O’Neil

Season Two- Kalan Porter
Season Three- Emily Vinette
Season Four- Ashley Coulter

5th
Season One- Tyler Hamilton
Season Two- Josh Seller
Season Three- Amber Fleury
Season Four- Eva Avila

6th
Season One- Micky Bustos
Season Two- Elena Juatco
Season Three- Suzi Rawn
Season Four- Brandon Jones

Season Four- Tyler Lewis

9th

Season Two- Brandy Callaham
Season Three- Daryl Brunt
Season Four- Kati Durst

10th
Season One- Toya Alexis
Season Two- Shane Wiebe
Season Three- Casey LeBlanc
Season Four- Rob James

*There were 11 contestants in the first season, had to use one spot again-see 8th place*

Ta Da! It’s done. I would comment on them all but I won’t even dare... haha! But yeah- that is my stand on the Canadian Idol Top 10's... Some of them were easy to place and some more were harder then hard. I didn’t really want to put Casey in the bottom-(10th) BUT out of all last season, I just had to. I would switch Kati and Rob for season four BUT I don’t even think Rob should be in the top 10. I didn’t want to put Aaron in 8th place either but hey...
Anyways, again- that is my stand.

Chapter 83: Change Is Gonna Come

Hello to one and all;

As you know, my time in Newfoundland is drawing closer and closer -shame eh? (haha) This evening passed by pretty quickly, thanks to the help of my tv set. I never done to much all day to be exact - fiddled around on my laptop for a bit, was online already for a few times... everything seems to be dead on that - I really want some new cool sites to go on, but nothing is out there... or at least I can’t find anything. But yeah... I also watch a movie- yes... it was a ‘chick flick’ - haha! Real masculine eh? ‘Riding In Cars With Boys’ was the name of it... yet it has nothing to do with a car, nor do it have anything to do with ‘boys’... it’s basically about this young girl with big dreams for her life. She ends up going to a party, meeting this ‘low life’ guy... and then a few weeks later, she finds out she’s pregnant for him. The story jumps from really early years (about 1930's maybe) then up to the 1960's or around there. It pretty much shows her life growing up, how she had the kid, how hard life was. Her husband (the low life guy) turns out a drug addict and leaves her with a 10 year old kid. She works hard ALL of her life, time and time again... something ‘good’ would happen but it would mess up and she would loose it (ex: an interview from a scholarship to NYU BUT her husband forgets about it and she had to bring the kid to the interview, and they didn’t like that fact and she ends up with no scholarship). She is an amazing writer... but she can never succeed and she learns to accept it. Finally, she works with a newspaper and works hard to write a memoir about herself entitled ‘Riding In Cars With Boys’- and she needs her ex husbands signature to publish it (since he’s in it) and then yada-yada-yada.. I’ll leave it at that.. But yeah, it’s good to say the least. Despite the few cusses and the fact that her husband was a drunk and a dope addict - PLUS the fact she was busted for drying ‘weed in her oven’ for her neighbour....

Anyways, yeah.. Again, it was good to say the least. :)

I really should get going- but before I go, I’m gonna tie in my chapter title: ‘Change Is Gonna Come’.. I know it’s a song, btu have no clue who sings it, what song it is, or what it is about. I just remember that little part- Taylor Hicks may have sung it on American Idol this year.. lol. But yeah... after the movie - I done up a list of things I have to take with me at the end of this month.. Lots! Then I got to thinking... ‘Change IS Going To Come’! FOR REAL! I have been thinking that ‘yeah, I’m moving soon’ but now it’s hitting home (and I’m happy for sure) and I’m like ‘CHANGE IS GONNA COME’! I’m moving... leaving... hopefully for good! :)
But yeah.. I’ll post more about it eventually... I’m still trying to get to post #99 before I go cause my plan is to be #100 when I hit Edmonton... :)

But I really don’t think I’ll make the cut! :)
We’ll see...

Peace
Prayers

Chapter 82: A Tribute To The Grade 9 Graduates

Hey Guys;

This is going to be a short intro and the rest will just be what I will explain in the intro (did that make sense?). Well, I was cleaning my room early this morning (which is SO not like me but yeah,) and I came across a folder. I looked through the paper, it was junk so I took it all out and tossed it, I sat back down on my bed and opened the folder again, debating if I should toss that or not. Then it hit me! It was a folder from Grade 9! How do I know- cause I got ALL of my grade 9 classmates to sign it :) The back of the folder had a spot for a 8X10 picture, but I used a sheet of paper and got everyone to sign it and put it back into the folder. To be honest, I don’t think I even seen the folder since grade 9...
But yeah, anyways- everyone’s name is there and I was all emotional (I suck at emotions okay..lol) and sat there, thinking about everyone. It was like my entire school life flashed before me. (btw, I am crying my eyes out now...lame eh?) But yeah, before I go off my head- I just want to list the names of everyone and write a small thing about each one.
Here goes:

Kristen: Man, you’re an amazing person. Strong both verbally and physically (haha). One of the things I liked most about you is that you expressed yourself how ever you wanted. There is great things in store Kristen, and if you ever read this- I pray that it all opens up just has you always wanted it.

Danielle: Well, this is one of three people I won’t miss yet. Vanguard awaits us in the fall so I am not even planning to say goodbye yet- it’ll kill though when I have to.

Requel: wow! That’s all I want to say. I said I’d do this and stop crying- but if I even goes on anymore I’ll break out again. I love you Kel, no matter WHAT happens. Wish you EVERYTHING this world and the next can offer.

Gera: Not only did I learn that Gera’s dog was dead (ask me about the Golden Retriever story) I learned that Gera is possibly one of the most amazing people in our class. I have seen Gera in almost every mood in school, and I like the ‘happy’ mood better. :) Gera, you are an amazing person and I wish you all the best.

Denika: Ever since the crush I had on Denika in grade 8, she hated me. Haha! I can remember Denika some time before school in grade 7 even. She came to the door to get a cake with her mom and her mom said that she would be in my class. I can remember that just like yesterday and I’m sure I will for a good long time - at least until I am old and grey. I hate to say ‘good bye’ to you cause you are awesome. Friendly in every way and man, can you laugh! Love you Nika!

Candace: Like Danielle, I’ll get to see Candace next year at Vanguard. Enough said- I don’t wanna cry. Love you lots

Timothy: Ha! You beat me in grade 9 Tim, but I beat you at Presidency. Haha! Yeah, sure- you ‘pulled out’ of the race! Haha! I can’t say I really know you anymore but from what I can remember, you were something else. So funny yet, SO moody! All the best man.

Melanie: I never even got a chance to say goodbye, and I will NEVER do it. It’s always going to be ‘see ya around Mel’! (Okay, I’m tearing up again..lol) Mel, you were the one that I looked up too in school (most of the times). Your attitude and the actions (even under the MOST pressure ever) were amazing. I don’t really know you outside, but if you were ever different, I’d be shocked! Love you Mel and again.. ‘See ya around’.

Paul: TALK! FOR THE LOVE OF BETTY, TALK! Haha! English class, back in the corner - you said some words! Ha! It’s all good Paul, you’d do good in politics I’m sure of it, after all Gerry Byrne is the least talkative one there - and he represents us, so why not you. Go for whatever you want Paul and you’ll get it!

April: I CAN NOT say good bye yet April. The day you finish work with me will take the life out of me, BUT I know that you will ALWAYS be there for me, at ANY time. (Again, I’m tearing up) I love you SO much, more then you can ever know- and more then you will ever know. We have been through so much and YOU are THE special one to me. Love you lots.. And we’ll wait to say ‘good bye’.

Johnny: ha! Don’t think I said all those things about April in a ‘loving’ way. Well I did, just not in the same ‘loving way’ as you do. Ha! She’s all yours man! Anyways Johnny, You have one year left by’ and that’s it! Wish you could have graduated with us man- it would have been one heck of a year- I know it! :) Whatever you decide you want to do in life- stick to it and you’ll get it. Word of advise (and this goes to all the Graduates) Don’t forget the one who put you here and what He gave you’. Write it down man! Peace

Lisa: Oh my, my heart just sunk. Like Kristen, you expressed yourself however you wanted- and for that alone, you earned my deepest respect. I am going to cherish the times we had, all throughout highschool (even the puppy love...lol). I’ll say a few for ya Lisa.. Go for it!

Skyler: Crazy? Haha! Cool? Meh- Joking.. I am! Skyler by’ you are about the least likely person to read this, but I hope if someone do and they’re close with ya- tell Skyler I said ‘hey’. Arguments- one after another. A lot of the times I just had to give up.. There is just no way to win with you man. I think you only got one year left too, so pick something and go for it!

Matt: Good ol’ Matt left us in grade 10. Funny as anything yet super stubborn. Hopefully you learned to keep your mouth shut by now... haha! I haven’t spoke to you in years tho man, we’re gonna have to get in touch somehow! Peace

Holly: Another girl that earned my respect this year. This girl is CRAZY and knows how to live life (even if it’s not approved by many). I love you SO much and I think you said you were suppose to come back home, to the Arm? We GOT to get together before I leave next month. :) A date at Chuck? Sure thing.. ;) Love you Holly, wish you the best in everything.

Tash: Like Candace and Danielle, I don’t have to say ‘goodbye’ to Tash just yet. :) Hopefully I will never have too (come on Rapture..lol). Tash is a true genuine person - the most I have EVER seen. What you see is what you get. No matter how bad a mood I am in, Tash can always bring the laughter out- you and Rudy GOT to be made for each other. Again, I don’t have to say ‘good bye’ yet so- Peace and we’ll rock out next year! :)

Brian: ha! Me and Brian despised each other in grade 6, and we were bestest friends when we were younger. Then, for a nice while - in grade 7-11 we were pretty good friends. We been though a lot and we’ve said a lot to each other - with the best intentions I’m sure. Anyways- yeah.. It’s over man and it’s smooth sailin’ from here on in. But man, don’t forget- the ship is soon comin’- don’t miss it. It would suck without ya man!

Nigel: ha! He was one of the four amigos as kids. Wherever you saw Nigel, Rudy, Johnny and myself were there. Childhood was amazing man and it was always a riot having you around. In school, a lot of the times we didn’t get along but hey- who did ALL the times. But yeah, it would have been a blast to spend more time with ya man but hey- different things causes different people. But yeah, no matter how different we become, I’ll consider you a friend.

Yeah, anyways- that was it. All 19 of us (including me)! I never cried in a while now.. But I’m sure when it’s posted and I read down through, the tears will come again! Lol! Hey man, some girls likes the ‘emotional’ type... haha! But yeah, that was the GRADE 9 GRADUATES! In closing I want to say ‘ALL THE BEST’ to EVERYONE! YE ROCK!

God Bless

Peace
Prayers

Chapter 81: Bring It On

Hey Guys;

It's been a busy week man, and I'm super glad to catch a break - I'm living up this weekend. NOT! I've stuck in the house all weekend, actually I went down to Bev's and got a book off her to read. :) So, Thanks Bev! :)
But yeah, that's been my exciting weekend. As for the past two days.. I've been flat out pretty much. Work is enough to keep me tied up but hey, I pulled a easy one yesterday, since April (my co-worker) wasn't around! She done it the day I took off, so only fair right! haha! JK
But yeah, Yesterday God broke though in so many ways.

First off, RSG (Rock Solid Generation) had a huge promotion yesterday. VOCM threw us a online story area with a link provided AND Rudy done an interview with one of the reporters which aired a few times. Not to long after that, the hits for the site went WAY over 700!
After lunch, while I was at work (hehe) I called openline, just to thank them for their help and throw another shoutout for RSG. I never thought about my bosses listening to the radio and hearing me - which I'm sure would have ended in me getting fired.. haha! But yeah, I reported we had 700 hits but overall we ended up with almost 900.
That was all well and dandy and thanks goes out again to VOCM for their support.

After VOCM, I made a small little ad, just in case newspapers wanted it for advertisements. Knowing that they were most likely not going to call looking for it, I called them. First on the list was the Northern Pen. I spoke to their Editor Allen and he agreed that they would run an ad for a 'couple of weeks' so I got his email and sent that along to him. He told me that he would get back to me and send me the email address for all the newspapers here on the island. That way, promotion everywhere - which is just what we need! :) But yeah, I'm not sure if that ad will run this week or next, but I did make this weeks deadline so, just MAYBE it'll make this weeks cut! I hope so! :) But yeah, an advance thank you going to them as well.

If you read Rudy's blog anytime soon, he has an interview coming up on Monday with a lady from the Telegram. It's going to be about youth and religion - so awesome! So, make sure you say a prayer or two for Rudy on Monday! :) Good Luck Man - make Him proud! :)

Well as you can tell God was in the middle of all that. :)
ALSO, guess what- WE GOT THE APARTMENT! :) We finally have a place to call home! :)
It's rather close to the school BUT it's a two bedroom. That's okay I guess, good enough for now to say the least. Buddy said if we wanted to, we could look for a three bedroom while we were there. :) It's all good. The landlord sounds like an amazing guy! :)
The girls have their spot, a short distance from us! :) yey!
Also, Heather reported that they have their house in the city now! :)
In the words of Heather 'Yesterday must have been God's day for living arrangements' -lol! :) It must have been! But yeah,... all the hard work in searching, paid off! :) Now, it's only 30 days til we get to go home! :)

But yeah, it's been a good one! :) Yesterday rocked:)

Anyways, that's it here from me now! I'll try to touch base before Wednesday - I think I'm going to make a routine on here.. post every three days and just update then. NOT! This blog from the beginning was meant to be totally random, and I think it has! :)

But yeah, again.. it's been a good one!

Peace Out
Prayers

Chapter 80: A Little At A Time

Hey Everyone,

I took this afternoon off work, I am totally sick (the stomach flu is going around..my poor nephew had it, my sister, mom and now me... yipee eh?) and it's totally not fun. Now I have to work back 4 hours to the CAP but oh well, it's only next Tuesday and Thursday mornings and I'll be caught up! :)

But yeah, the title suggest the main plot of this blog don't ya think. 'A Little at A Time' - as you noticed that I am slowly (yet surely) trying to upgrade the blog to at least something I am pleased with... so I'm adding little things in. I have been searching around for different things I can add but nothing majorly registered in my brain yet (that hasn't happened in a while now as it..lol).

As you can see, I have posted the 'official button' for this site (see the LINK TO ME section on the lower right hand side). This is the button YOU can use on YOUR website, blog or other internet pages. Just make sure the link comes back to here (and that it works)!
If you link MY SITE to YOUR SITE, I'll gladly put you under the 'Affiliates' section and let you have your own cool little button there. As you may have already noticed, the RSG one is linked under that section but I'm not linked on theirs - that's okay though and will only work for that site (since it is important).

But yeah, I'm gonna keep on searching for more advancements for the site and I look forward to keepin ya posted on what's going on in 'Josh Land'!

Peace Out Everyone;

Prayers

Joshua!

Chapter 79: Busy, Busy, Busy

Hey,

Okay, I can't promise how long this will last but it might last until I get to Edmonton! I've been forever trying to blog but I just can't find time anymore. Laugh all you may, but honestly- I'm officially a very busy man. Well, ever since day one I have been saying I always find a way to make me busy, but now, more then ever - I've been busy. Work, Work, Work! THAT'S ALL I DO ANYMORE! And I ain't complainging cause I like it most of the times but yeah... it keeps and takes most of my time.

Okay, for example - this past week(and the week prior) I have:

1. Started a book
2. Attended a Wedding
3. Helped my sister move
4. Worked(had to throw it in again cause I do it alot)
5. Got my student loan approved
6. Officially graduated highschool
7. Worked (again I do it alot)
8. Went to GF's
9. Went to BV
10. Newspapers
11. Edited my sister's wedding video (which is still not done)
12. Cyber Camp (twice a week)
13. Attempted to read a book (still not even half way through it)
14. Apartment Hunting
15. MORE

So yeah, I have been busy- especially with work AND apartment hunting. I honestly have called roughly 30+ apartments. No less then 25. I have my phone bill ran up cause of it, and I have the special on the phone.. okay, that was a stretch but seriously, I have about a few dozen numbers on my phonebill for apartments... and still NOTHING! Until today! If it's the Lord's will - it'll obviously work out! Pray, that's all I'm going to say for now.. pray!

Anyways, this is my time off and I'm gone to do something other then sit here and write on this blog!

Peace
Prayers

Chapter 78: What's The Point?

Just A Question!

Try To Answer It!

Chapter 77: I Cried - Congrats!

Hello Again;

First off I just wanted to say - 'I Cried'! ha!
Second, I will tell you the reason I cried. Which is:

Okay, I watched the Grad DVD. I was doing perfect right up until the very last part - the balloon drop. I cried ONCE at the Grad - after Candace gave her tribute to the students, and that wasn't even a real cry, more of a 'shed a tear' sortta thing. Anyways, the balloon drop. It was MY highlight of the grad. It was the climax of the entire grad for me, and if you watched the DVD - you would be able to tell. I loved it! I jumped, danced, laughed, hugged and everything else to express my happiness YET, I come home, almost two months AFTER the grad and watch it, and cried at the balloon drop. This time it wasn't a 'shed a tear' sortta thing, but actual crying - sap eh?

I just can't believe that there is no highschool for me anymore. I'm done, it's over - FOREVER! I can't go back even if I wanted to. Now, as I am out of school, I look back and (as people said) I cherish it - even if it's only two months after. I'm not crying for the purpose of 'waaa.. I don't have highschool anymore' - I cried out of pure JOY! I was SO excited for not just ME but ALL of us. We been together fully for SIX years and I shared seven years with the Burlington/Smith's Harbour half - and now... it's over! :)

Again, it's been two months since Grad and almost half of the grad class has gone away - to start their lives. Today is the 50 day marker before I leave, and start my 'life' - and the feeling is amazing.

Basically, what I'm trying to get across is CONGRATS GUYS, WE DID IT! I know I wished you all the best in May, most of ye in June again and now I want to do it again - Congrats Guys...

Peace
Prayers
Keep It Up

Chapter 76: Wake Up

WAKE UP FOR THE FIRST TIME OF YOUR LIFE!

DEADLY song! I totally love it. I'm going to try to find the lyrics to it or try to post somewhere you can download it - or a clip of it at the least. It's deadly!

Anyways, I'm not going to ruin it now before I let you all hear/read it! haha!

Well, it's Saturday - duh! I wasn't going to work today but I decided I would - make back some of the hours I owe.. : - I only owe a few more.. hehe! Everyone else seemed to take off to the park for the day, if only they had called me earlier - I would have scrapped the work idea. Ha! Oh well, there'll be more days I'm sure... : -

I was talking to Candace today too (Just after supper -my time). It was good to talk to her again, I miss her SO much... :( - sorry for the late birthday wishes hun - Hope you had a great day. :)

Oh my, I'm bored now.. I had plans for tonight but I sortta backed out on em.. I'm just in a 'wanna be by myself' mood - I think I'm gonna head down to the 'old house' area and read the John Hagee book I bought before grad and still have yet to read. I took my bible down there a week or so ago, and just read, soked in the surroundings and yeah.. I enjoyed it. I might just go do the same now with the JH book! :) Yeah, that sounds like fun right about now!

I'll try to post later tonight!

Peace
Prayers
Keep It up

Chapter 75: 25 To Go

Hey Guys;

It's me again - obviously eh? haha! Well, I don't know what to write about tonight. I'm half asleep but it's been two days and I haven't blogged so I was like 'I tell people off when they don't blog' - plus, two people have asked me if I have blogged today, and I had to say no. Now I can tell them that I have, and it'll make them happy I bet... ha!

Anyways, I'm finished work for this week. I would almost say 'Praise God' but it would almost make it sound like I didn't like where I work - which I really do. I'm so lucky to have April (an amazing friend) as a co-partner. :) It keeps the CAP more exciting. ha! As if the CAP would ever get boring eh?

Well, I gotta comment on what I done tonight. I was at the CAP and a lady from our town came in with her kid - a two year old little girl. Well I showed the parent how to do some things on the computer and then I was like 'I'll keep the kid occupied so she can get her work done'. Man, what a laugh I had with her. I had a CAP balloon blew up and we played with that. I was throwing it back and forth with her for about a good half hour. Then we used it to play 'soccer' and then I was flicking the balloon at her and she would laugh so hard. It was SO cute, I loved it. I always said I wasn't sure if I ever wanted kids after I was married but man, if my kid can be that fun - I want one. Anyways, my mind is totally set on having kids now - well not set.. but it confirmed that I do want kids and I don't really know why I said I never wanted any in the first place.

Anyways, I'm 100% NOT ready for kids yet, maybe in a few years (like 4+) I'll settle down (if I can find someone dumb enough to marry me.. haha, just kidding) and maybe, when the time is right we can start our own little family... aww... how sweet!

But yeah, the kid taught me alot tonight! :) - Thanks kid!

But yeah, Had a blast overall today at work. April and I went out and delivered the town's newspaper - the favorite part is easily when we had the good ol' Christian music blasting and I was shouting 'Praise Him Burlington' ... April still thinks I'm crazy but hey, the least we can do is offer ALL the praises we can! :)

But yeah, I'm hitting the hay now!

Peace
Prayers
Keep It!
