Chapter 51: Wake-e +

Hey Everyone...

I'm still letting the wake-a-thon (which I now dubbed 'wake-e') soak in.. trying to recall what happened there. haha! It was great fun I'll admit. I won't talk to much about it and I'm not posting alot of pics of it YET... I'll get it up by Monday I'm sure.. :) I'll post these two.. my personal favorite.. haha... here:

Anyways.. in the mean time.. I have two other things I found on Yahoo that I thought would be nice to blog on.
Congrats to Ellen for sweeping the Day-Time Emmy awards last night. I wish I had watched at least her win.. she seems so cool, in a funny sort of way! ha! I love her show, she always keeps it down-to-earth and highly entertaining... which is good alone.

Another one was this (the one in purple):

Oh my... the age old question of whether the Ten Commandments should be allowed in public or not... *rolls eyes*.. COME ON PEOPLE!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU! One guy said:

Cramed down people's throats... it's a PLAQUE sitting on the GRASS! COME ON!! Get over it!! Us Christians have never been under more attack if you think about it. Look at society.. trying to tear down EVERYTHING we have... this nation was built on Religion - SO KEEP IT! - oh my.. keep it in your prayers at the least... even if you don't think this really applies or affects you...

Another thing... the Da Vinci Code paper back novel just hit the 1 million mark... congrats to that *rolls eyes*... I wonder how many more people has Mr. Brown ruined? cough..sicko..cough...

Anyways.. yeah... I'm here in school.. I was suppose to blog this Saturday night but I went out very quickly... sorry for the delay... I'll try to post some more pics of the wake-e tonight!

Chapter 50: Happy Anniversary

Hey Everyone;

I purposely pushed off blogging until tonight for a few reasons. The most important was the simple fact I have been extremely busy with a number of things and even to right now I am busy. I have been up hill and down, working flat out. Anyways, secondly I wanted to make this blog a special blog since it is the anniversary of my 50th blog - so I simply wanted to celebrate it with style (lol.. Something I lack I know..lol). Tonight is the grad wake-a-thon (yippee!) So I wanted to blog thing while I am at that.
Okay, time to make some news.. You may not find this a whole lot interesting but I’ll admit to it all the same... some people have already asked if I do this - and YES I write a number of my blogs at one point and then post them later. See it’s not an overly big deal now is it? :) As you can easily tell, I am blogging this one but I never wrote all of it tonight... ha! I actually wrote this at 8:45 in the morning.. Ha! See... so that’s something new for you to be amazed over (and I’m sure you will... <_< -)

Carry My Wings
©2006 - Grounded

You dance like you mean it
Still you’re walking through the valley of bones
Will you find what you search for
Or is the passion that you long for gone

Jesus I’m a wreck of fear and doubt
Jesus I’m a wreck of pride and self

Almighty God carry my wings and make me fly
Almighty God carry my wings and make me fly

The world is a Babylon
And I long for the day You come back
You said ‘I am God there is no other...” “I am God there is no one like me”

Jesus I’m a wreck of broken dreams
Jesus I’m just a man who’s full of need

Oh when is it all going to end

Those words are my testimony tonight. Almighty God - Carry my wings and make me fly!
‘King Jesus’ - eh Ruth Ann :) - HA! I’ll admit that Black Gospel music is awesome as well! Ha! It certainly gets ya in the mood for worshiping! :) Last night coming home in car, I was with Ruth Ann, Jana, Tash and Candace... and what a time we had. :) It was good for us to fellowship and just even more amazing that all of us clearly showed our testimony (we had a God Bless You Testimony - and you done good Jana..lol)! -Praise the Lord! :) - it left me with the “God is so amazing” feeling.. lol!

So yeah.. Grad is in three weeks! Woot! Ha! I soon needs to get my stuff together (or start thinking at the least) for emceing the grad. Me and Bri are doing it, should be rather funny. But yeah, plenty of time yet tho... or I hope so! :)

So yeah, I'm here at the Wake-A-Thon now.. it's quite funn so far. Everyone is starting to watch a movie so I figured that I would blog.. and THEN watch the movie!

I'll blog tomorrow with LOTS of pics!

God Bless
Peace and Prayers:

And that's all for now folks! It is indeed a horrible flood.
CBC and NTV has been out today, taping, interviewing etc. people on the flood. Be sure to check out some footage from them on the news tonight!

Chapter 45: State of Emergency

Hey Everyone;

I don’t really know how to address this. Words can hardly describe the total devastation that all three communities are in at this time. It was announced that Middle Arm has declared a “state of emergency” after over 100mm of rain fell since yesterday. Severe flooding and damage that is beyond jaw dropping has taken place as flooding in these three little communities occurred. Roads are literally swept away, water as leveled with the town’s bridges and houses, yes people’s HOUSES are ruined. Report after report of peoples homes have been flooded, ruining almost everything. A fair number of houses, cars, basements, etc. in Middle Arm (Burlington’s neighboring community) has been flooded by the water. The road going into Middle Arm (might I add the ONLY road giving access to the town) as been completely destroyed, with a large gap of run off, the road has been washed out through the surrounding wooded area. The road going to Smith’s Harbour has been closed off - noone going in or out- due to the flooding that occurred there. A lone house stands, totally surrounded by water and the owners were forced to evacuate, taking nothing but an overnight bag. The road going through Smith’s Harbour has been washed out as well. An helicopter has been flown in to pick up an elder man in Middle Arm who has taken sick, this is the only way to get people in and out of the town.

As of now, that is all I can say, so I’ll let the following pictures speak for themselves:

Flooding caused the road to Middle Arm to wash out completly, stranding some 600+ residents.

This is a man trying to cross what was Middle Arm Road.

This is the water that flows under the bridge in Burlington

VOCM has an excellent report of this story. You can read it here
Both CBC and NTV has covered the story as well. You can read the CBC written story here.
I'll be posting lots more pictures very soon so keep coming back for more updates!
Also, I would like to add thank you to Bev and Tracy for letting me use the photos.

Chapter 44: Breaking News - I'm Quitting!

Hey Everyone;

Rain, rain, go away... With the many joys of Spring there always has to be a down side. Certainly that comes with everything, not just a season. I’m actually sitting here, on my bed... typing away and attempting to eat a Hershey ‘Oeuf Guimauve’ - wait that’s the french side... Marshmallow Egg! Now, this blog offers a lot more then just the exciting life of me (Josh) - it’s now teaching you french. Everybody now “Oeuf Guimauve” - one more time “Oeuf Guimauve”! Very good class. I wonder if some school is looking for a french teacher this coming year... ha!
Oh my... Not fit it’s not. Raining, I’m not in the best mood... *rolls eyes*... I guess the past little while doesn’t seem to like me... ha! I won’t even elaborate on that.... ha!
So yeah... I was up to Kels’ last night. And right off the bat I want to apologize for hitting you in the nose hun. YOU’RE the one that covered your face and then peered down across mine and them self defense classes I took a year ago just assisted in your pain. Ha! (Just to clear that up... I never took those classes..lol) But yeah.. Anyways, Charlotte, Jeffrey, Requel and myself were all just ‘blah’ or I know I was at the least. It was so funny tho... we stuck her velcro teddybears onto her ceiling fan and then turned it on and after a little while (the fan speed picked up) they would go round and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and.... :| - But yeah.. Then they would like flick off and would go flying across the room... ha! It was so funny... lol -
Oh my....
We watched part of Troy - :| - Can you say snooze fest! Wow... Hanging out wasn’t boring just that the movie was SOOooooooooooo long... I can’t even remember it being as long as it was - I watched it before. Haha! Oh glory be...

I’m tired, bored, contrary, mad, happy, sad, glad, excited - I call this ‘blah’! I guess you can call it “mixed emotions” but to me it’s ‘blah’! I dunno... :S

Oh, oh, oh...... Da Vinci Code! I’m at chapter 60 now. I can’t believe how Dan Brown ruined the book. He done an amazing job with the written part of the novel but now it’s turned into the whole “Jesus was married to Mary and had a child” junk. SICK! I literally felt sick when I started to read about it. I was almost in a *jaw drops open* “awwwww......” sort of thing. Someone would take the story of Christ and twist it, pack it full of lies and filth and then sell it, make millions and then make it into a movie. Sick! Dan Brown is sick. I know he is not the only one who has put forth this but to his proportions I think it is the largest yet. That is why I have to announce that I am QUITTING the Da Vinci Code!!! I can no longer read such a disgusting book that is being so twisted and WILL mess up possibly millions of lives from its lies and “historical facts”. FACTS MY BEHIND! Dan Brown claims that his book is a work of fiction yet it is packed with a large amount of facts. The pastor from GC called it (and I liked this) “Faction”! You can not really tell what is fact and what is fiction - it’s just that intertwined. I am now against reading the Da Vinci Code (DVC) and I STRONGLY urge you, if you are currently reading this book, to GET RID OF IT! The pastor from GC basically got me “into reading” it due to the simple example of a missionary that needs to learn the language of where he’s going to be most effective. You can see the comparison. That little thing made me feel “ok Josh, you can read it”! BULL! Do you think that missionary learned the FULL language before he can go minister to them? I think not. He learns enough to get him through and then goes into the foreign land and does His work. That’s exactly how we should be. Sure, we all should know the basic information of the novel. What the main jip of it is about. How Mr. Brown used Da Vinci to portray that the bible is WRONG and says all this junk about our Savior! Do you think Jesus would actually want His children reading such trash? I think not! I know... a lot of you are probably saying “you got to Chapter 60" - I have and that was to far before I could see just actually how much we shouldn’t read this junk. Suppose you are at the first chapter, the thirtieth chapter or the hundred and fifth chapter... drop it. Close the cover, get rid of the book. I hope that you never bought the book (supporting Brown himself...) But if you did throw it out. If you downloaded it (like me.. lol) delete it! We don’t need to go into full detail of the novel, read the jip of it in a summary or two and that’s enough. Again, the missionary doesn’t fully learn the language, just enough to get him by! :)

So yeah.. As you read this... my computer is FREE from the Da Vinci Code!

I must thank Megan for the little talk that we had about this... it wasn’t to much but man you must have done some praying over it! Ha!

So yeah...

I’m gone!

Peace, Prayers
~Josh!

PS> GET RID OF DA VINCI NOW! HA!

Chapter 42: Good News For Mandisa

Hey Everyone;

I have been doing a nice bit of reserach on Mandisa (from American Idol). I found out just now that she had an interview with a radio station in Nashville and she told them that she has been approached by two record labels and wish her to sign as well as a spokes person for a clothing line who want her to design her own wear and produce it. Ain't that amazing :) - GO MANDISA GO - lol!

Also, I was on Brian May's Website in which he posted that he was sad that Mandisa didn't get a chance to sing their stuff... you can read it here off his website!

She's doing VERY well for herself and I want to wish her all the best! I'm sure she'll have a CD out sometime in the next 6-10 months! lol- anyways.. that's all for now!

Peace

Chapter 41: The Queen is Growing Up

Hey...

Okay, the Queen is now growing up... lol - she hits the big 8-0 (eighty) on the 21st. I discovered that she released the top 80 interesting facts about her... I wasn't going to post 80, so instead I'll post 8... (cheep I know..lol) Anyways... here are the

Top 8 Facts About The Queen

1. During her reign, The Queen has undertaken over 256 official overseas visits to 129 different countries.

2. The Queen's real birthday is on April 21, but it is celebrated officially in June.

3. The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh have sent about 37,500 Christmas cards during The Queen's reign

4. The Queen learnt to drive in 1945 when she joined the Army.

5 The Queen sent a message of congratulations to Apollo 11 astronauts for the first moon landing on the 21st July,1969. The message was micro-filmed and deposited on the moon in a metal container.

6. The Queen sent her first email in 1976 from an Army base.

7. The Queen takes a keen interest in horses and racing. Her Majesty's first pony was given to her by her grandfather, King George V, when she was four years old. This was a Shetland pony called PEGGY. The Queen continues to ride at Sandringham, Balmoral and Windsor.

8. The Queen is the first member of the Royal Family to be awarded a gold disc from the recording industry. 100,000 copies of the CD of the 'Party at the Palace', produced by EMI, were sold within the first week of release.

These are the ones I found most interesting... lol - I know, I must be boring! Ha! You can read all 80 of them at: 80 Facts About The Queen

So yeah... I'm gonna wish a super early birthday greeting to the Queen by giving her some of my precious blog space!

Also.. some more interesting this I found are:

1) Mandisa is NOT A GAY ADVOCATE!!! So stop all the bashing about her! I'm actually sick of it. Also... she confirmed that Steven Spielberg contacted her and offered her a acting job... she never said if she would take it or no... WAY TO GO MANDISA! :)

AND

2) Rudy loves to wear a sombrero... rumor has it he even wore it to the doctor once... :| - lol -

Chapter 40: I'm In Love With You

Hey Guys;

Yes... it's me - again! ha! Funn stuff eh? Man, you must be really sick and tired of reading all the stuff I get off with on here. I actually think it would make an interesting little "Life of Josh" book! ha! Anyone what to buy a copy? lol- anyways... I'm devoting this blog to a song by Joy Williams- "I'm In Love With You"! It is such an amazing song... here are the lyrics:

I've been waiting all my life for this morning
Just to wake up next to you holding me
And your head is resting gently on my shoulder
Like you're whispering to me

I'm in love with you
I'm in love with you
So glad I found you
I'm alive with you

When we're leaving dreams and rolling back the covers
All at once we're getting ready for the day
It's when you look at me in the mirror while you're shaving
Before I go on my way, you say

I'm in love with you
I'm in love with you
You're the one I choose
‘Cause I'm in love

Love is joy and love is pain
It's kissing in the rain
It's doing dishes when it's late
Isn't it, baby
It's the art of compromise
It's hellos and long goodbyes
It's the picture of our lives
Isn't it crazy

So I'll call you when I get to where I'm going
And I'll tell everyone we know you said hello
And without fail they'll ask me if I miss you
Of course I do, you know I do

‘Cause I'm in love with you I'm in love with you
You're the one I choose
I'm in love I'm in love with you
I'm in love with you
I love you just the same as I did the day
I fell in love with you
(c) Joy Williams

Anyways.... Even though you may love someone or something doesn't necessarily mean you're going to get it. That is like the worst thing that can happen too, it really stinks! Anyways... just wanted to get those beautiful lyrics out in the open and try to get the song.

Peace, Prayers

~Josh

Chapter 39: Busy, Busy Everyday Yet All I Does Is Sit

Hey Everyone;

Right off the bat, I appologize for the crappy title. This has to be the worst one yet, easily. -lol-
That's what it seems like tho, "busy, busy everyday... yet all I does is sit"! I have so much to do, I do it... yet it seems like I never. Yeah.. that's weird I know.. and possibly not even possible. Could it be the fact that I really don't have a whole lot to do? Nah... I do. Anyways; Who cares about that now... I'm doing this... and I am not busy at the moment... however I do have school in a few. Blek- School... Monday Morning- Me... that's not the best mix. I am going there for computers, workplace and then Environmental.... the joy of it all. It's not even worth going for is it? I'd do anything to get me out of the house now. -lol-

Anyways, I watched Narnia yesterday. I'll admit, it was better then I thought it was gonna be. To quote myself in a conversation I had with someone "It's gonna be the new LOTR" (Lord of the Rings). And that it will be. Give it time and it'll be one of the best selling books and movies in today's world. Mark my word - you heard it here first! ha! I'd like to buy it actually... I'm not a fan of buying movies cause I normally watch them once and that's it... that's why renting them is much more efficient, however Narnia is not just an average movie. Worthy of me buying it I suppose. - lol-

Anyways, Grad is in 39 days (rolls eyes). You can tell how excited I am can't you? I don't think I mentioned it in a blog before, and this is as much as I will now. Maybe in May I'll mention more, just not now.

Well... I never went to sleep last night til like 2:30. :| - I know! Horrible. I was up til 12:30 or so talking with a new found friend, Eva! She seems like a nice "kid" -lol- with a good head on her shoulders. She's rather interesting as well and seems to know her stuff. :) I'm acutally looking forward to talking to her again... and there is only a small number that I look forward talking to on MSN. -lol- Feel honored Eva! -just kidding - lol
After that I sat down and listened to an older sermon "The Quest For Holiness" by Pastor Michael Rowan. I can never get tired of it. Then after that I stayed up writing a lil' something down in which I hope to share very soon with our youth group, so watch out for me... lol- and pray. :)

Anyways... It's now come a time for me to depart. I should have been fixing up the grad bulletins but I was like "bulletins... or blogging" and you can tell who won! ha! I might get it in my head and blog here again in school... I'll drive myself nuts with cimputers I'd say... I should have left my email at the lease for school... instead I took care of it home! So yeah... watch out for me again...

Peace, Prayers

Chapter 38: Sahara, Da Vinci and Church

Hey Everyone;

Another mighty fine day. The weather is pretty crappy outside and I’m not in much of a mood to go outside in the rain or anything so... what did I do all day(so far)? Watched the movie “Sahara”. It’s actually a pretty good movie. Now I’m not going to go into all great detail cause last time I done that with ‘Flightplan’ a number of people nearly beat me to death cause I ended up ruining it. Anyways, ‘Sahara’ is a VERY suspenseful, action movie. The main jip of the movie is it’s about these two treasure hunters who are looking for this “phantom ship” (aka: the death ship). Noone thinks that the tale of the ship is true due to the fact it is suppose to be found in the desert of Africa. And well... desert, ship... you know the two just don’t mix. Anyways.. The other side of the story is a WHO (World Health Organization) member is studying a “plague” that is killings a large number of people. The hunters somehow (I won’t say how) teams up with the WHO member and is trying to stop this plague and find out what’s causing it. Turns out that this bad guy is dumping thousands of gallons of toxins underneath the earth and it’s seeping into the ground. He’s teamed up with some kind of “government” (the bad kind) member and says that “noone cares about Africa”. They’re doing it for the money .... lol, anyways... I’ll stop it at that and I think I said one thing that I shouldn’t have. It’s not a “brand new” movie anyways so it doesn’t really matter and I’m sure a number of you have already watched it. So yeah, it’s really good. I strongly urge you all to get it and watch it... it’s pretty good. Despite the number of killings in the movie (mostly bad guys) it really depicts the actual type of government in Africa (or in parts), and there is like 3 swears in the entire movie- which is a major plus.

Anyways... next topic...

I’m in the process of reading the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. I started it a long time ago but never paid much attention to it. I’m currently reading it and will offer my two cents when it’s complete... and might I add - IF I complete it. Dan is a sick, sick man and why bother to read the sicko’s book... the sermon on GC thinks we should.. So I will... lol

Anyways, church was pretty awesome last night. God moved mightily which is exactly what we need. He met with a number of people and great things were accomplished in people’s lives.

Anyways... I’m in a hurry so I’m gone!

Peace

Prayers

Chapter 37: Saying Goodbye To Mandisa

Hey Everyone;

It is a sad day for American Idol. The morning after and I'm still in shock to see Mandisa voted off the show. I mean I didn't expect her to win but she had true raw talent, what the competition NEEDED in order to suceed, and now with that talent absent... so will I be.
I'll be honest, I felt that it was "her time" but honestly didn't expect her to leave as #9, but rather #4. She was amazing and Idol lost a truely wonderful and amazing person.
She was by far the most beautiful, seemed so caring, so friendly, so passionated about what she was doing - and I think she was because it was all for God. On numerous accounts she talked about God and really showed off her talent for him. Her strong and powerful vocal abilities will certainly land her a recording contract. And to be honest I think Beth Moore will assist her to get one out. :)
Mandisa had the "it" factor in more ways then none, but I think it was the "God" factor that caused her to be booted so soon. She represented HIM, and people didn't like that (or so I read). Mandisa, if by chance you EVER read this (I know you won't but still...lol) "May God bless you. You did him proud".

Again, it is the morning after... I can blog about numerous things but I'm putting this entirely over to Mandisa...

EDITED(2:25PM-same day) I was just on Yahoo.ca and they had this posted:

Guess everyone thought this was a REAL shocker! Even Yahoo -

Chapter 36: Tories Hold Free Vote On Same Sex Marriage

OTTAWA (CP) - The federal Conservatives say they will follow through on a campaign promise to hold a free vote in the House of Commons on same-sex marriage. While the issue was not mentioned in Tuesday's throne speech, Justice Minister Vic Toews says the vote will be held "sooner rather than later." The Tory campaign platform says if MPs vote to overturn same-sex marriage, a bill will be introduced to restrict marriage to unions between men and women. A gay rights lobby group is urging the Tories to drop the plan. Canadian for Equal Marriage says most Canadians feel the issue should be put to rest.
www.yahoo.ca

I think that the Tories shouldn't even allowed a vote. Overturn the marriage law and change it back to just men and women ONLY! The article didn't say when the vote would take place but I'm assuming it will be soon, and I'll be sure to blog more on it! :)

Anyways,.... Church tonight! This is the night that starts the week of services with Pastor Sam Hynes. I think and feel that it'll be a good time for everyone who puts themselves in!

Grad's done their vegatable sell today.... after much waiting! lol- anyways.... Yeah, I'm tired and I needs to soon get ready for church!

Chapter 35: Family Matters and Looked Up To

Hey Everyone;

So, how is everyone again? I think I am doing better then ever with this whole blogging thing. :) - I have been managing to post two or three times a day now, I should only be doing it once a day but I think it’s better to blog every chance I get, it makes it more personal I think. lol- So.... I just finished watching Family Matters, it was quite funny. I use to watch it all the time but often find myself forgetting about it, oh well- I try to watch it whenever I realize that it’s on. It’s a lot more “friendly” then most of the other programs out there. But I won’t start on that. lol-

Well, I have a purpose of blogging (for once eh?-lol). I was thinking back to late this summer (or early fall) when I person asked me a very simple questions but when I tried to answer it seemed very hard. The question was something like “name five people from this community that you look to and name five people outside this community”. (This may not be the exact question but still) So I got to thinking, and after a few hours I came up with “Josh’s top 10 list of people I look up to”, and the range was very far. However, for a while now I was thinking about this question again, and after a bit of deliberation I decided a somewhat “new” list and simple reasons why I look up to them. So here goes...

I’ll start with:

5 People from outside this community:

i) Oliver Penney - “OP” has been such an inspiration for me in many ways. I learned to respect and look up to Mr. Penney while he taught me throughout grades 7-10. I think grade 10 “Canadian History” really put him # 1 on my list because of all the things that went on in that class and how he managed to “most of the times” keep cool. I have the upmost respect for him from now and here on in.
ii) Pope John Paul II - Simply due to the fact that he was so “ripe in age” and continued to do God’s work. He continued to do it right up until his death in April 2nd 2005. He seemed so humble and trustful in God. That alone placed him # 2 in my top 5 list.
iii) George W Bush - Back when I was all for the war in Iraq (which I still am but not as much) President Bush really deserved this spot. I know I put him on my first list due to the fact that he seems to step up time and time again for God, even if he don’t try to(or mean to). He stands for moral values (pro-life etc) and not worldly values. I honestly think that it was the Christian people of the states that made Bush win his second term, and good thing I’d say. You still deserve a spot in this list.
iv) Vestal Goodman - Her words of inspiration is amazing. So clearly belonging to Jesus and her voice is amazing. I don’t know her in person (neither do I know the others except for OP) but she always seemed so humble in God and trusting him. The words she wrote, her worship attitude and her prayer made her # 4 on my list.
v) Noah - I wasn’t really going to use bible people in this list (this time) but I am forced to do so. Especially after the English term paper I done on him. Noah was awesome. He put every bit of faith he had in God and built the Ark. He took all those animals, his family and boarded the ark and waiting out God’s plan for the world. I read the “Noah in the 21st Century” poem and it really got me thinking if I would obey God so strongly. Now Noah wasn’t perfect but a true man of God.

Now I’ll do my other list:

5 People from this community:

i) Scott Newbury - Even though I don’t really act that I do all the time (I try though..lol) I really look up to Scott. He has been another divine inspiration for me. Always humbling in God through thick and thin. He is an amazing person, an amazing light for God and an amazing friend. He has so much wisdom which comes in handy. He easily deserves my # 1 spot. (As if it matter though eh...lol)
ii) Pastor Darren Rowe - Another man who clearly humbles himself in God. I don’t really “know” Pastor Rowe a whole lot but the few times I have spoken to him he was awesome. Just to see him in or outside the church God really shines through. You can clearly tell that he is a devoted man of prayer and such an inspiration to all.
iii) Vera Foster - I LOVE THIS WOMAN! Ha! She is SO friendly it’s unbelievable. She is so passionate about God and serving him. She certainly has amazing testimonies in church and when she talks about her passion for the youth.... wow! She’s a beautiful and a very well respected woman.
iv) Beverly Welshman - Ha! No, this is not a joke (just kidding Bev...lol) The way I look at Bev is the simple fact for years and years she has been a second mother to me. So many times I have went to her, talked to her about different things and learned so much from her. The biggest fact that I liked about her is that she knows how to have “fun in God”! This women is hilarious in so many ways yet she knows how to be so serious at times. Again like Aunt Vera, Bev’s testimony is amazing. The passion she puts into her words and how God worked miracles in her family and her own life clearly shows that she’s not afraid to admit she has God. She easily earned # 4! :)
v) Deborah Lush - This is a shocker right.... (joking, joking...lol-) I have known Mrs. Lush for a nice long while now. She taught me in school from like grade 2-6 and has played a huge role (even without her knowing) in my life. When I first came to know Christ and things didn’t always seemed to look good for me and my future (in God) her simple smile brought Christ alive for me. In church I would sit there and be so serious looking and she would walk past me and (most of the times) say “Smile Josh, God loves you”. I’m pretty sure she didn’t know that those simple words got me through some of life’s toughest times and for that I’ll honor you with # 5!

And “ta-da” The list is complete! :) Anything I may have said I didn’t mean anything bad by it, not even in the slightest way. There are many more people I wish I could include in this list (and I could easily have done so cause there are so many people) but I had to pick my top 5. Well I didn’t HAVE to, but WANTED to.... lol.... so yeah!

I’m gonna challenge you now. Think about your top 5's and reasons why. It’s MUCH harder then it looks. Now I’m not telling you to blog about it but just do it for a personal note. :)

Anyways, I think this is the longest post I have EVER done but I hope you enjoyed it to the fullest!

God Bless

Chapter 34: O my Strength, come quickly to help me.

Hey Everyone, it's early I know (7:46AM to be exact) anyways, I was just reading my bible and was reading 22 of Psalm. Verses 19-22 really stuck out to me:

19 But you, O LORD, be not far off;
O my Strength, come quickly to help me.
20 Deliver my life from the sword,
my precious life from the power of the dogs.
21 Rescue me from the mouth of the lions;
save me from the horns of the wild oxen.

Simply due to the fact that there are so many things that are happening today. There are so many things for Christians that can tear us down and beat us up. The last words in the last four lines of that scripture are "sword, dogs, lions and oxen". Then it adds the words "life, power, mouth and horns", this is the killer. In those simple little lines it highlights just some of things that can cause us to fall, stumble and fail. Despite the "horns", despite the "mouth" despite the rest of things out there the author crys out to God saying "But you, O LORD, be not far off; O my Strength, come quickly to help me." The author never ran and never gave up. Instead he cried out to God for help. "BE NOT FAR OFF" - Whenever we face something in our lives, when we face the 'mouths of the lions' or 'the horns of the oxen' call out to God, don't run and hide instead take comfort in our Lord and Saviour cause He is waiting there to lift us up away from lifes' problems, no matter what they may be.

"Father, I thank you for being my refuge on my rock. For being the one I depend on. Father I thank you for the blessings that You O Lord pour down on Your children. Thank You for being there in lifes trials and temptations and for never leaving your people. Father I thank You for being my comfort in my time of need, just help me lean fully on You Father and not my own strength at not just in the trails of life but always. Father just bless Your people, refresh us in You and keep us in You and You alone. - Aman."

Peace All

Chapter 32: The Background

Hey

I was wanting to post this some time ago. It's a desktop background for ANYONE to use, that I created. I was sick of looking around for them and decided to take matters into my own hands. I found a simple small picture of pretty much the same thing (scripture verse) but I didn't like the color scheme it had, nor did I like the text. I done some work, changed some stuff and this is what I ended up with:

I liked this alot, and it is actually the background for my laptop. I have already shared it with a few others but I'm not sure if they used it or not. Anyways, feel free to use it, pass it on or just whatever. - if you want it bigger or smaller.. just leave your request in the comment section!

Peace

PS> I shall officially send my congradulations along to Danielle and Candace on getting accepted to Vanguard College. - God Bless!

Chapter 31: Fox or IE

Hey,

Wow.. I'm actually blogging using the actual blog site. I always (well for the past month and a half) had to blog with Word cause IE wouldn't let me load in the text area so I could type and then blog. It's still like it and I was forced to use Word... I actually got use to it, and liked it much better. Now Word has failed... and won't let me blog. Rud, being as smart as he is told me to use Fox (FireFox) instead of IE... and low and behold.. IT WORKED! :D - Thanks for Rud for the help... lol

So...

Now is the question of should i stick with the Fox? Lets see... IE was the first explorer I ever used. I'm wicked use to it, loved it to the fullest... however it has failed me SO MANY TIMES! Fox on the other hand - has yet to fail me. I guess.. (and it's only a guess) I'll stick with Fox from here on in. (and Rud, I want you to put me in my place by asking spontaneously which browser I am using - lol)

Well, I guess I am "healed of IE" (to quote Rudy) - lol.. good stuff!

Another thing about Fox, I can now post pictures... :) I couldn't with Word, and IE didn't work for months, that's why I never posted any pics!

:)

Anyways.. must go... I'll leave you all with a pic of Hoops and Yoyo...
Enjoy

Peace & Prayers

Chapter 30: Let It Flow

Hey,

It seems like it has been a while since I blogged. Shame on me, missed a few days. :)
Anyways, how is everyone? Good I am assuming and hoping, I’m sure if anyone I know was like ‘not good’ I would have heard. lol- Anyways,

So…. About last night- wow! It was more then wow! Man, there aren’t even any words in the English dictionary (well in ANY dictionary for that case) that can describe last night’s service. Wait, there is ONE word that can describe it, and I’ll quote Rud – "GOD"! And man wasn’t it ever God! I personally haven’t experienced God so much in my entire life. We kicked it off by having prayers downstairs, which might I add was amazing as well. There wasn’t a huge crowd there but it grew after a while (or at lease there was more people there when we ended than there was when we began-lol) Anyways, we certainly experienced God in that room, and then we calmed her down just a little bit and ‘all’ toned in with God, it was so quite. Then the band and them came down and man, crazy, in the best kind of way. It was like a wave of God – again. :)

After a nice while praying we went up stairs. (which I almost didn’t want… lol, I wanted to stay down there with God… lol) So yeah, like I said, we went upstairs and WOW! I motivated myself to put myself into God as much as I possibly could. I have numerous times before but it was different last night, in some ways at the least. So yeah, I put myself in right from the start and it was good but I knew I had to get out of my seat. I said it to Rudy (I think it was him) that the seat was almost containing me, so I got out. I went over to one side, just to "get away" – which I STRONGLY encourage EVERYONE to do. And it was like one-on-one with God! I was getting a little distracted, I’ll admit that… and Satan was telling me a lot of stupid stuff, but God stepped in and instantly cleared it away. Then it broke. GOD MOVED SO MUCH! SO, SO, SO MUCH GUYS! AND DO NOT, I"LL REPEAT, DO NOT MISS IT! I can not remember a whole lot clear of the fact I got really weak at one point and felt so low I dropped to my knees. It almost was like I blacked out – in a safe way. I mean it was so one-on-one with God. For a nice while it was like I was with him. It was almost like I was frozen in a worship atmosphere. I didn’t even want to stop. :) God’s just SO awesome guys! Anyways, I’ll tell this, I was almost resenting to say this, but since it’s my personal blog, I’ll post it. I won’t say any names but after I managed to literally crawl back to a seat and sit down. This person came up to me after I sat back down and "snapped" into it.. (hehe) and they were like "Josh, I need to tell you something. When you were up there, you were filled with the spirit and was talking in tongues and you interpreted it". I can remember doing it, that stood out SO clearly in my mind. This made last night SO much better for me. Anyways, this person went on and told me what I said which was something like "It’s okay for I am coming soon, I shall not forget my people whom I love". Might not be the exact words, but between she and myself that’s what we put together. It was unbelievable man. :)
I was so moved as well when we went and prayed with Scott and Joan. We have prayed before, but when we prayed for healing… wow! God moved again. :) I loved it.

Well, I am in a "awww’ just reflecting back on it all. I’m stunned that God would even come down on us so much, when we are so unworthy. But that’s GOD! He doesn’t care what we’re like. No matter WHAT we do or say… GOD IS THERE and SO OPEN to us. HE WANTS to take us. If by chance you are reading this… I am praying that you are and will be touched by this. You would get something from this and would think about YOUR life and where YOU stand with God… :)

If you want, add me to MSN (josh.thomas@hotmail.com) or you can just email me for a chat. I’d love to talk!

God Bless Guys!
